Johnny got his gun

I've recently watched movie "Johnny got his gun" ( older version, 1971). It's about a boy who gets heavilly wounded in WWI ( he lost his arms and legs and all senses except of sense of touch).
Have anyone of you watched this movie? Is very sad and shows real horrors of war.

All senses, arms and legs?
Wonder how he looked in real life. Its hard to call something without arms, legs and half of a head a human. Scary.

It is scary.

More scary is what happens after his accident. But I rather suggest watching the movie. It can change people's point of view on many things.
