A cover is good. A lower part is super!

th video itself is quite nice, but imho the music doesnt fit at all and destroys the feel of it.

Dont worry I still have some bombast epos reserved for the big videos.

Absolutely bloody fantastic update. Good to see you lads working on the mod. Cannot wait!

Hip hop is fine in small doses, surely if people don't like it they still have some sort of control over their speaker Volume? Even as a Dev I'm still surprised when I watch these promo vids.

The cover itself really is nice (and so is the video!)!

YUCK! Post war Russian! The coats were big, heavy and wool, the ushankas were much less "square", and not so "syntheticy" looking. :P other than that, the cover looks good. if you need someone to authenticity check, i would be willing to

If we spent all our time worrying that that some stuff isn't "authentic" we'd never get the mod finished. CoH isn't the most realistic of games, and this is supposed to replicate and expansion pack... Relic wouldn't have made it any more authentic than we have.

Exist one Russian word - "Халтура", which means trash.
If you do not try to do it right and well, it is absolutely bad and wrong.
A soldier is from 70/80 years. Always save an original photoshop file with layers, then easier to rework ;)
I showed your picture in the Russian part of the Internet... Everyone does not like the Soviet soldier. But I tell a rest on the picture is cool.
On the east many people wait your mod. Do not think about a Russian version of a site?

Please don't assume we don't know how to use Photoshop, some of us do it for a living. I could list 1000 incorrect things about the British Army in Company of Heroes, so I think leeway is allowed. Feel free to find us a better image for the front cover though.

Plus, this mod looks fantastic. and needs to relate to the world, not just russia, i have had nothing but amazement and respect for the fantastic modders here at EF and I can not think of anything I have looked forward to apart from this mods release. Keep up the amazing work. And UeArtemis, you said in a previous post that the SS did hardly anything but crimes. Well, just to let you know, the NKVD were the exact russian representation of what the SS did. the Waffen SS however, were fantastic soldiers, and would defeat nearly 4 russians to each one of them that died. notice more Russians died at Stalingrad than Germans did. Lets see how that would work in CoH, seeing as the largest pop cap so far is 125 (Blitz Mod) so what, give us 50 Waffen SS Troopers, and you can say goodbye to your army, then give us a Tiger 1, and you can say goodbye to all of your T-34s. Its a game, its not a documentary.

Let's copy all trinity.

I know what the NKVD did. the Relic made the game without policy: no swastika, no the SS. Why the NKVD will be exception?

One man for the Western Allies, one man for the Soviet and one man for the Axis.
This is a cover of a low-budget unknown Russian game "The Officers". Most of people do not know this game.

Those soldiers look like students at a fancy-dress party, not battle-hardened officers in the midst of battle. Our mod is about the fighting between the Soviets and the Germans on the Eastern Front, so an American is not needed. Also, I do not feel that plagarising another minor game developer's hard work is the right way to go about it.

And your suggestions are greatly appreciated, as are your critisisms. I'm sure you understand the reasoning behind our responses. That boxart looks great, but like I said, it doesnt quite fit with the mod or the style.

Well i have never quite thought about it in that way, though T34s weren't exactly pieces of junk ;), but mainly it was do to poor training of the drivers/few radios that lead to there demise. I understand the point made about CoH isn't exactly a realistic game. I am not a modder, don't know how to program, can't skin (color blind), so ultimatly its your mod and regardless of a (yucky :) ) post war Russian on the "cover" i will still play it. So far all the in game pics i have seen look (as far as i can tell they look correct, but didn't look to hard either) great, i have been really looking forward to this mod and am glad to see it is coming along nicely.

Good guys! BUT!!! Change the russian soldier! Uniform from 1970-1990 years)))) In ukraine we wear it still))))

Yeah Okay, the Arctic Convoys, Battle of Britain, commando raids, and North Africa werent happening during the same time. Dunkirk and Battle Of Britain took place before Barbarrossa was launched. And North Africa began in June 10, 1940. Thats before you guys came in.

Err.. We gonna get some eye candy soon? Just that we haven't seen an update for ages...

Yeah yeah, there's a lot to update, I'm not sure what we're waiting on (actually, I have a clue, but I won't tell :P ). All I can say is that it won't be disappointing ;)

I hope so!  It has been months. 

Saw them T-34's focus firing on that Panther 3 quarters way thru the vid. been waiting since I bought CoH in 07' for Russians and 6 months for this mod. It looks awesome guys. Its everything of a true CoH expansion.

I just stumbled upon this mod a few days ago after a friend mentioned it in-game. It looks like it'll be great and as for the cover...it looks freakin' amazing. Keep up the good work guys and for those concerned about the authenticity of the Russian uniform...I hardly think it's something worth fretting over.

I play wow too, sorta. It's a great game. But, ah, it's
also designed to keep people keep playing ' to keep up with
the pack '. Gear resets, etc. 99.9% of the population is lv 80.
Lower levels are a virtual desert... Well, they're sort of fixing
that next expansion..

What bothered me was that power level was determined by
how much of no life you had. It's like having a 2nd job...

Please, get rid of the 1980s Soviet soldier on the cover! Open up that psd and put in a 1940s frontovik in there.  ;)

Well, we'd need a 1940's frontovik to step up and offer
himself up as volunteer for the cover ;)

But I agree, though. I've seen the original pic they used for
that cover. And, yea, waay too modern. It's well done, though.

I only have company of heroes Tales of valor do i have to buy opposing fronts to be able to play this?

This is a mod and will in no way effect your original game

All that is required to play this mod is a working version of a COH title

so no you should need to purchase OF

Basic : Campaigns, USA + wehr (multi) only.
OF : Campaigns (more/different), brits + PE (multi) only.
Gold : Basic + OF
TOV : Campaigns (more/different), USA+WEHR+Brit+PE (multi)
Anthologies : Gold + TOV

EF will add 1 faction (soviets) to *ANY* version you have.
You'll remain with your prior limitations, if any. But you could
have Basic or OF and still do fine.

What it WON'T do, however...
Is add the vanilla factions you would be missing, say,
if you had basic or OF only ;)

TOV is all 4 anyways, so, meh.
