i wanna beat them!!

hey i have a tactical question, i'm playing skirmish in angoville, i choose red army and my enemy is easy cpu wehrmacht, our units in early game are like crap so i cant beat them. i have an ambition about that, beating them in angoville. Lets help to save motherland, comrades, i need some tactics. my doctrine is urban assault.

go for fuel to tech up to sniper. save mun for arty ability (sniper). early game should be easy then.

I don't want to suggest anything, but change doctrine. Angoville has 4 or 5 houses. Propaganda with trenches and Katyushas would do better. Urban combat is awesome when you engage enemies on short distances ( double flamethrowers, partisans armed with SMGs, KV-2). Breakthrough will do too, as the early armour support ( L-L sherman or T-34 riders) can dominate game quite fast.

Maybe you should just learn how to play first, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way like most people do. Beating an easy CPU is really easy and if you can't do it with the soviets chances are you can't do it with any of the other factions either. So I guess you still have certain difficulties understanding the mechanics of the game which could be solved by doing some reading in the GR.org "Tip of the Week" and assorted strat forums.

SU is much like the new, better, shinier US.
So, if you are good with the latter, you won't suck with the first one.
I mean, soviet faction presents you with all those fancy possibilities you've always dreamed of, while playing the american, but could never afford.  ;)

Optimal "first minutes" build-order: two engineer squads, barracks, command squad, conscripts... then you have to decide, what way you'll develop further on (support barracks or rush for tanks)

And its really easy to win a AI game with an MG.

yes man thats true mg is a big chance in early game.

Absolutely agree on the above notice.
But the sovs have so much to trade for that:
unsuppressible penal squads (now bugged);
heroic charge of the command squad;
unsuppressible vet 1 guards,
that all makes mg look pale, and somewhat pathetic in comparison and almost nullify its usefulness in combat.

Besides, there's plenty of 'em in the field, when you need one  ;D

Using conscripts early game both to fast-cap the right side and hold the houses there may be helpful.

My safe build is Ingy, Command Squad. Ingy build Mustering Tent. Use Command Squad to harass and cap forward. Build some conscript squads to cap and support CS. Build Support Barracks when you can and get snipers/ZiS against Wehr or mortars/Tank Hunters against PE. Instead of reinforcing my early conscripts I tend to let them die off and save the manpower for strelky. The rest is all dependent on the game.
