Luncher stuck after update

I just up date the game in to the latest version yesterday (1.3.2 perhaps? the one that allow russ infantry to re-man the gun), after installation the launcher is practically stopped working.

The launcher is still be able to access but the game is just nit working when I click play.

Please advise over.

Could you be more specific? What error message shows?

no massage is shown, in fact nothing is seem to happen after I click play icon on the launcher.

Check if you installed EF in the correct folder, i.e:

If your CoH path is "C:\Games\Company of Heroes\", when installing EF you must install it there, not in any other selfcreated folder.

You can make sure if you installed EF on the correct path, checking if Eastern_Front.module is in the same directory than RelicCoH.exe and WorldBuilder.exe; if it's not, uninstall EF and reinstall it on the correct folder.

I pretty sure that it was on the correct folder, as I told you, previously the game run just fine until I applied the latest patch from your auto update. But it might be possible that the patch is installed in the wrong folder.

could you post an screenshot of your CoH Directory? :-\

would love to but I have no clue on how to do that, can you provide some step or program need to capture the screen?

1) Open your CoH Directory and change the icons view to let them all fit on the window.
2) Press Prnt Scrn key.
3) Open Paint.
4) Paste the content(Edit->Paste or ctrl+v).
5) Save it as jpg.
6) Upload it here using additional options->Attach.

Could you upload your EF_Launcher_Log.txt located on that folder?

Are you sure you are running "CoH\EF_Launcher.exe" and not running the launcher from any other location? "Company of Heroes" and "CoH" subdirectories seems suspicious...

you mean this one? the one inside the temp is empty though.

the suspicious folder is mostly the container of any downloaded patch or mod or anything related to CoH, I just kept it in the same folder

and yes I am sure, I use the launcher from this exact folder.

I pretty sure that original location of EF is not a problem because anyway it really working before I applied the patch and I am sure that I didn't touch anything but the auto-update

Could you check if this key exists?

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Eastern Front"

remember to check in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Eastern Front" instead if you have a 64 bits OS.

Also, could you upload your warnings.log after trying to launch EF??

sure but again, how can look at the warnings.log after the launch?

If that file exists, you'll find it on "Documents\My games\Company of Heroes".

I try re installed the EF, problem solved, thank for the help
