wont play

i donwload it from moddb and then i go onto the launcher everything goes fine but after its done its says start eastern front mod i clik it and no thing happens then i clik the shortcut it says missing short cut how do i get this game to play.?

Check EF Launcher->settings menu->CoH directory, make sure it has the correct path.

wats the path suppose to be cuase now itsays C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes and that doesnt work

Could you post a screenshot of your CoH directory?

how do u take a screen shot?

Hit prntScr key on the directory, then open paint and paste it.

Yeah, that is. I can see EF files, but i fail to see CoH ones.

You need at least one CoH game (vCoH, OF or ToV) in order to run EF.

i have coh the first one and opposing fronts

But there isn't a CoH file there. You need to install EF over CoH. Eastern Front isn't a stand alone game, is a mod from Company of Heroes.

so should i copy everything from that folder into my steam folder wer company of heroes is?

yes, or uninstall it and install it over steam.

You need to install it over any CoH game, patched to the last version from here: http://cohpatch.relic.com/index.html
And, you should install EF into the same directory, where you previously installed CoH.

You won't have problems with steam, trust me ;) (i use EF + Steam CoH).

1)Install it over your company of heroes folder on steam.
2)Then run the launcher.
3)If you are prompted to update, do it, but check that the install path is the correct one for each update (5 in total).
4)After updating go to EF settings and check if CoH directory has the right path, if not fix it.
5)You can play EF.

I edited my previous post, please read it :). You only need to either paste/reinstall EF, change the path on the launcher settings if necessary, and if "unable to locate coh directory" error is shown, use the attached file.

so it said some files were sucscefully added to registry wat does that  mean? this is afeter ur attachement

That mean you added "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes" as InstallLocation on the registry.

Is that path ok? Try to run the game.

nope same  problem it keeps saying error up to date

Let's try this:

Uninstall Eastern Front. Use the EF uninstaller(unins000.exe), if EF files aren't deleted after this, delete them manually(you will easily recognize EF files) from Company of Heroes directory.

Reinstall Eastern Front v1.20.

After that update the game and make sure the install path is the correct one. After installing all the updates go to launcher settings and check that CoH Directory option be the correct one.

finnaly ur attachment is wat made it work thanks and uhhh.. i was wondering if their is a way to combine this mod and the blitzkreog mod?
