Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

I was trolling on Moddb.com when I saw this:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/battle-for-the-middle-kingdom
those guys made SU-76, Elephant, Zis-3 and KV-1. And I wonder if devs are going to make a deal with them ( it's obvious that modders are sharing their work with others)?

Re: ... for EF?

Is it just to the four Tiger shows or does it include the T-28. (three turret one) Because T-28 is awesome and looking around there have been problems with replicating it because of multiple turrets in relation to coding and other stuff I have no clue about.

EDIT: Beautiful models too BTW!!!

Re: ... for EF?

Yeah i was wondering what’s going as well i posted already on moddb but i'll copy it here as well:

Yeah i'd like to know what’s going on here too. Are you guys doing a swap for some of their stuff, are they building it for you or are you giving them stuff you've already made for them to animate?

You might want to clarify this just so people don't start getting the wrong idea!

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kongdom" mod

Merged two topics because both discuss for the same topic. Changed subject as well.

Tiger520 is lending us a hand to animate some units.

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

Does that mean that Ostheer can be released much earlier?

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

So, you are saying that Tiger 520 for you will be animating some units. It even well, because you are searching for animators. Perhaps you could absorb him to the EF team as the animator ;), such a my suggestion ;D. If of course Tiger 520 will agree (he said that he very much like mod EF 8)).

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

Those models that can be seen on the ModDB-page of Bfmk are from Men of War, even if they are animated, there can occur problems with MoW's devs, so that those models, that are WIP by EF-devs should be animated first instead of "stealing" other games' models and risking problems. But TheDzierzanPL, I like your idea of making Tiger520 to EF's animator if others have a lack of time.

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

I think it was sort of a one off as he's probably spending most of his time on BFMK mod which is alot of work, working on two simultaneously would be huge amount for him. I'd like to think he continues to help but I feel it was a one off.

*Crosses fingers* Please let KV-1 be replacement for call-in Sherman.

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

@MaxiKing:
There will be no stealing. If any of the models is going to end up in EF, it'll be with permission from 1C / DMS.

@Cope:
Good to here that, I had a strange feeling when I heard that these models aren't EF's work and its thought about to use them.

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

Great news, tiger205's Elefant is godly so I hope you guys use it. As for the MoW models he animated, it would also be great if they are used as Soviet reward units. According to this thread the devs of Men of War are fine with mods using their models as long as they are not for profit http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?254977-Video-for-Anti_jap-mod-by-tiger205

I am a bit sleepy, however I didn't really find any word from MoW developpers, where they state, it's OK to borrow any part of their work. So, could you, please, be more specific in your references? A particular quote would be appreciated.

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

Looks like that's the case, sweeten2213 also asked them and they agreed with that, I have no link to prove it, but he's a trustful person. Of course he talked in behalf of Normandy '44 but as in the other thread says, if there's no profit there shouldn't be any problem.

Re: Cooperation with "Battle for middle kingdom" mod

Good news, but be don't know which EF-made models are already WIP and those, you know, have higher priority. I still think the Ferdinand/Elefant looks awesome and I can't wait to play it.
