Can't update game

I click the update button it finds the patch. Changelog [IP address redacted]

When I go to install it I get the "Eastern Front Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience"

result - no update  :'(

Any suggestions?

did you run it with admin rights?

Did you have .NET Framework 3.5 sp1?

If you need to update it you can download the patches and install them manually :-\...

Do you have CoH patched to 2.601?

EDIT: I read your email.. what's your problem exactly? I mean EF's problem, because you posted in a thread that talks about "unable to find company of heroes directory", in your mail you said "even though you can't see any words it will still launch the game", and you post that you can't update from the launcher... so, we have:

• Update problem from the launcher


• "Unable to find company of heroes directory" bug


• Unknown symbols on CoH instead of Strings?(i.e. $101010101)

Just to sum up your problems... am I wrong?

Summary:
Have now managed to update game manually from your link below.
My COH is patched to 2.601.
I have .net 3.5sp1
I am running with admin rights

Only one problem: when I launch EF Launcher I get the following error message: Unable to locate "EF_Launcherdata\languages.ini".
I click OK and it takes me to the Launcher but all the fields are completely blank.

but then didn't say what to do with this key. Please can you help?

Do you know if you have installed Microsoft C++ redistributable 2005 and 2008??

Did you download EF installer 1.20 from ModDB??
Did you have a previous install before 1.20??

check on the windows registry if you have 32 bits OS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{97AFD0D8-5720-4A59-BFDC-CB92A36FADF9}_is1

if you have 64 bits OS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{97AFD0D8-5720-4A59-BFDC-CB92A36FADF9}_is1

export the value(right click over the folder->export), change the extension to txt and upload it here. Also could you post your Languages.ini file(CoH Directoy\EF_LauncherData\Languages.ini)??
