EF Automatch night

This question is primarily aimed at those who don't normally automatch however, others may answer if they wish to.

If a date were set for an EF 1v1 automatch night where everyone gets on and autos against each other, would you play?

I've steadily noticed less and less activity on these forums, no doubt due to school/university/job/other real world things. Though I'd like to rectify this. I've thought that a good competitive spirit would be good to have so I'd like to arrange a date where people come on and exclusively automatch for ease of game finding. If it works out maybe we can have a certain day each week where people make an effort to come online and play a few automatches. It would certainly help keep the mod alive. Any thoughts?

Yes, like vCoH...You need only the players in the Ranked Game rooms. ;)

US or Europe night?
Also as I remember 1.00-1.04 Automatch could create games US/UK vs Soviets. I played only 2 of these cold war games back in february.

I have yet to get an auto match game, and I have tried many times, so this sounds interesting. I have seen the lack of activity also. Been a while since I played too. For me it was the munitions upkeep, particularly on the AT gun and medic truck which I always thought didn’t make since.

Great idea.  Haven't been playing on EF for ages, and I'd be happy to participate.  Killing Reds with MG42 fire is a lot more appealing than playing against Brits in vCoH.

IMO the T90 instant pin, the SU tank destroyer, and USA strafe need something done with them before the tourney can start however.

I'm Australian, so either way it wouldn't be night for me. I'm not fussed.

The second part of your post could be an issue that I forgot. Does anyone know if this has been fixed?

These are certainly problems that I would like fixed as well. This is only a casual (possibly weekly) thing that I would like to get started, not a tourney, so it matters less.

How about starting around 12 midday GMT on Saturdays? This allows Europeans to have an arvo session, whilst us Australians play Saturday night. Would Americans be willing to play in the morning?

Once us Aussies go to bed, it will be night in Europe and afternoon in NA.

Is everyone happy with something like this?

I like it, since now I work from 22.00 to 6.15 Central Europes time...
But who in US will play at 5 AM?
It has to be at least 2PM GMT.

That's 4AM in the morning for me in the west coast USA.

Start time remember, you can join at any point. You'll probs end up playing at about midday while it's night in Europe.

PS. No wonder we never have time for rematches.

Smarest Starting Time would be around 20:00 GMT. There's a reason why this is the time used for tourneys.

Would be nice If someone could post the 1vs1 night like the 2vs2 tourney on the newspage of Company of Heroes.

Mountain time USA, that will be early for me. Probably to early.

Ugh, that time is horrible for me. I hate Austalia.

Alright, 20 GMT it is. I'll have to actually wake up on Sundays now for the last few hours. While I'll be busy tomorrow, you guys should definitely start playing some matches.

I will try to play at least a couple of macthes before I go out to night.

Is this on again for the coming Saturday (27th)? I popped online briefly last Saturday but I didn't see anyone in automatch. I think it's a great idea to organise a rough time when people will try to be online to play EF, since I haven't really been able to find many games for a little while now. In any case, I'll be online around 20 GMT this coming Saturday. I'll try and be more patient this time as well, I didn't wait ages last time.

It's a shame you can't be in the automatch and be doing something else (like looking at the basic games in case a good one comes up). It can be a little depressing just sat there looking at: 0 Allied 0 Axis 1 Random.

You can be alt-tabbed though.

I'll probably be on this week and I'll definitely be patient. My couple games against bishop today really got me in the mood for some serious 1v1s.

I don't think many, if any, games were played last week because it wasn't really set in stone when we were gonna do this. Let this week be the official first night of many to come hopefully.

This would have to be on a weekend, most intelligently I think around the X-mas holidays. I'd be willing to play at around Mid-Night to 8am GMT time.
