[Idea] Japanese War on CoH

Hello everyone,
First sorry for my bad english, I'm French.
Congratulations for your mod, it looks great ^ ^

Here I have an idea, why not start the adventure by creating another mod.

Yes I know this is very hard work, but the popularity of your mod is more to do.

COH was already interested in the section on Europe / Russia conflict, but not for the war with Japan

I have some ideas if you want help

The future is uncertain, I only can tell you that the only thing that have been planned after Soviets are Ostheer & campaigns for both factions.

A new mod, but this one is passing into another conflict, Vietnam conflict or modern warfare
Keeping the engine of the conventional jet.

Why not include airborne units like the Bell UH-1 for the war or the Blackhawk vitnam for the Battle of Mogadishu?

That could be controlled as conventional units

I was so disapointed that this great mod make germans fighting british... I mean I hoped at least to see some french soldiers alongside with the B.E.F, like french riflemen call-in, or some "nettoyeur de tranchées" ("trenchs cleaner")... This mod looks really great and polished, but I dont think they will include later austrian or french troops, its a lot of hard work...  :-[

As allways WWII Russian troops are forgoten. Eastern WWI was more mobile with calvary and armored cars usage. Far more interesting than sitting in mud.

yeah, agree, because the 95% of all history books we ought to read are written by western historians, and they, as always, are far more interested in their countries' history.

I agree that in WW2 the war in the East wasnt comparable to the war in the West due to intensity and size...

But hey, we are talking about WW1, and the most monstruous  battles were fought, between the Channel and Switzerland...

Not only, but when a war is basically murdering a special country, indeed historians are talking about that. And France was literally emptied after the war: we lost more than 10% of our active, male population. Thats enormous! Germany and Britain also lost a great number of their men, and the psychological impact of WW1 was the trench war, not eastern combat.

I don't find Paciat's comment ironic. I'm from Poland too, and I don't hate russians. I don't hate Germans. Hating other nations causes wars, and we don't want it.
Paciat said about justice - if we are talking about IWW, we should say about entire war. Often people don't want to forget, they just don't have possibility or knowledge to do the job well. Sad but true.

I can understand that. But if we want a mod about the entire WW1, it would be too long to do. It should focuse on what is the more common to people. Also I agree that russians should be included (france have a blood debt over Russia, without them we would have lost both WW1 and WW2), I dont want them to be represented -again- as a bunch of under-trained and under-equiped, silly soldiers who just serve as cannon fodder.

I'm glad that you arent a hater, Cephalos, because they are those who create problem. There is everywhere patriotic (in the sense "my country before all others") men.
I was partly ironic too, I hope nobody took this too seriously!

really, sometimes I think it would be really awesome to create fully new mod, identical to Call of Duty: World At War. With USSR and US vs Germans ( german faction, not Wehr or PE) and Japanese. That would rock...
Let's face it, when I look at community-made models and skins, I wonder, how it's possible that modding community has better modelers and skinners than Relic or THQ. So replacing Brits with SU, and PE with Japan would give us fully functional factions, without strawmen bug.

Actually a trench war in CoH would be really fun. Now I want a map with tons of trenches in the middle for EF!
