Hard Drive: Strange Noise

Every time a map finishes loading (any map), my hard drive starts making a strange noise. When I press the button to start the game, the noise stops. I think this could be releated to frequente game crashes that so many people experience.

Wonder if anyone has the same problem.
I have a Hitachi HDD (SATA) 500Gb by the way.

Well the game wouldn't cause your hard drive to make a 'strange noise', as it's software not hardware.

Is this 'strange noise' like a rattle? i.e does you hard drive start rattling as if vibrating heavily? If this is the case I will give you one very important suggestion...

BACK ANYTHING YOU CONSIDER IMPORTANT UP AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY

As I've had this before and the hard drive died completely.

Now you may not have that problem, however better to be prepared.

Ah i remember i had this problem b4. Get your Important Document/Data/Files and keep  in external hard disk or else all is gone or Toasted.

I've had bad experiences with Hitachi drives dieing. Tread carefully.
