Company of Heroes could not verify media.

I bought the original version of Company of Heroes from Steam, and i bought Tales of Valour from retail (however it is linked to Steam and runs without a CD). My game is fully patched and plays perfectly fine.

I downloaded and installed Eastern Front. Everything works fine up until I get past the first loading screen. The game then asks me to "Indicate where I purchased Company of Heroes". Normally i select "steam" and everything works fine, But with the Eastern Front Mod I get the message "Company of Heroes could not verify media". I also tried selecting "Retail Store" with my Tales of Valour DVD in the drive and I get the same message.

Any help would be great! I am very anxious to play this mod!!!

Could you check if you get the same message trying to play just ToV?

I started ToV with the CD and I do indeed get exactly the same problem.

Could you try starting EF and indicate that you purchase it from steam and validate it with ToV disk inside?

Thanks for the suggestion but the same thing happens. Even with the DVD inside the computer.

Maybe remove the link with steam and try it. The game runs without the CD normally anyway. Try validating, then relink with steam.
