Windows Can\'t Find EF_Launcher.exe

Downloaded half of the necessary COH patches then accidentally installed EF. Downloaded the rest of COH patches then reinstalled EF. However upon completion: no desktop icon, EF never starts, opening launcher only leads to 'Windows can't find EF_Launcher.exec' and EF_Launcher.exec is never installed anywhere. I have the right pathfile and tried twice - no luck. Re-downloaded Launcher - no luck. Searched for EF_Launcher - nowhere. Use a Windows 7 OS, retail copy of COH & Ifs.

Some further info. Windows eventually comes up with this:
"The item 'EF_Launcher.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.

Do you want to delete this shortcut?"

If EF_Launcher.exe it's not located it didn't install correctly. It should be on CoH Directory. Could you post a screnshot of the path where you installed EF?

Check the integrity of the Installer. You can use HashTab.

Did you use a download manager to get the installer?

The hash isn't the same unless I had the wrong hash... but my version works so...

Try downloading the installer with JDownloader, FlashGet, GetRight, DownThemAll! or any other similar software you prefer, if you use firefox try adding flashgot to the mix.

Also, could you post a screenshot of your CoH Directory?

Alright: downloader didn't work. Same problems. MD5 the exact same as well.

The first time you installed EF, before updating CoH, did it worked?

Do you downloaded the game from ModDB? If not could you post the link?

Could you check your pc has .NET Framework 3.5? You can find it on the list of installed programs.

First time I downloaded the full version (from Filefront) it didn't work because it was in an unknown format. I'm redownloading the full version from ModDB now with GetRight. Will see how that goes...

That's the patch file ([IP address redacted] - [IP address redacted]), not the full version. That's why. Updating thread.

I thought about that when I see no files and the MD5 was different... :-X... Why is easier to find those installers than the ones from the announcements section or ModDB ;D?
