Help on strategy with soviets

iam quite anew in this community but iam palting EF for afew monts now.In the last few weeks iam playing dozens of skirmishes against expert ai mostly in 2vs 2 games.

About half of the games i win and half i loose. if ipaly 1vs1 i always win on expert.

My strategy to win askirmish is in short to spam su 85 and afew t90.
I dont use at all T34 and ISU 2.
My quiestion is Should the perfect player will use almost all of the tanks or can use only th light ones?
is agame of HUman vs two noemals players is possible?
if ididnt used tank hunters for decades does it affect my army?
iuse the medium range support insted

First of all, welcome.

You should try some games against human opponents because it is usually more fun.

A good player will use whatever units fill a hole in his strategy. It really depends on each individual's playstyle. Spamming just a couple of unit types cuts down on teching costs, which is an advantage, but leaves you with a less diverse force meaning that you will find it more difficult to react if the enemy suddenly changes unit composition. If you did happen to play a human, using the same few unit types would lead him to adapt to your strat and build counters and if you don't change strat he would beat you.

Tank hunters are not absolutely required but they are a good addition to your forces. They stop units like armoured cars from flanking your AT guns which would otherwise find it difficult to deal with these. By combining the two, you make them a very effective counter to both tanks and light vehicles no matter how the enemy uses them. Mines are also good for stopping your AT guns from getting flanked so it can be good to lay down a few of those if you want to skip the TH research.

thx. until now iddint used mines + ididnt compined close and medium range support coz it cost too much fuel.

for my surrow icant play online coz my new computer that can run coh ef dosent have internet. iam dying to paly against humans :{ ai is dumb.
did u managed to beat once two normals alone?

Given the right map and cheap tactics it's fairly easy to beat 2 experts. AI is very predictable.

hmm cool. do u have alink to 1.2 EF skirmsih witch shows agood startegy?

For some replays take a look at this link http://easternfront.org/forums/index.php?board=68.0 . Maybe you could get some pointers from there, just make sure they are the same version as your game.

You'll likely have difficulty finding a skirmish replay on that site though.
