Topic : Pirated Eastern Front Version ( Not Original )

I found this mod out side selling this Company of Heroes game with eastern Front mod. It is the same as the one you guys have, i bought it for RM20 = $ 7.35+ USD . I have the Original version of Company of Heroes just testing this Pirated Version.

What i know is it can be Updated. It is 1.2V -> the latest today version

Can it go Online... Yes even is in Crack version?

What other games is there in the Pirated games?
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts
Company of Heroes Tales of Valor
Company of Heroes Eastern Front

  Nowaday even Pirated games can Beat Original games.
Some more it can play LAN to 4 CPU i have. OMG. I uninstall it in the end coz it take many space.

So there is no way preventing this from happening?

Now to me ,apart from illegal, it also sounds stupid. Why? Because you can get the original 3 COH versions second hand(not pirated) for about $5 and of course can download our mod for free.
In short, you're being scammed into making a non existent saving and loosing out by not being able to play online on top of that.

You cant find the link? I saw it at the Mall where they sell games. Like PS2 PS3 and PC games ori and Pirated.

I ask the guy there he say can play Online. I go try it. I meant on9 ( I didn't play in battle just see the main menu. )

Secondly, I know one of the other way to play is using Hamachi, Like the Guy said.

Well in my country Original Games cost = RM 189 = $80+ USD for Just 1 Company of Heroes!
Not even 2 in 1. For Opposing Fronts Cost RM = 90 = $30+ USD

For Tales of Valor - RM 120 = 35+ USD

Even Second hand is Half of the price.

Even the Command and Conquer Mod also they sell. Like Mid East Crisis 2.

The games can be purchase at the nearby game store ( Mostly Pirated games store at ) - > Like Mid Valley Mega Mall, Leisure Mall, Sungai Wang Plaza, Times Square and Sunway Lagoon Mall ( These shopping mall they sell Pirated games. Only one Shopping Mall doesn't have Pirated Games -> Petronas Twin Towers/ Suria KLCC )

This is the New Company of Heroes Expansion Pack after the release of Tales of Valor, The next expansion pack of Company of Heroes with all brand new Soviet Faction to play. With the Allies have 3 faction and Axis has 2 faction, But more to come later on Eastern Front 2nd Expansion Pack.

You can buy ToV on steam for next to nothing if you have a credit card. Same price worldwide. It'll change depending on your exchange rate.

Well at 1 time i was looking for Original Company of Heroes ( When they 1st launch ) Original cannot be find at all. All Pirated. Steam, Umm I use Steam before but i got confuse of using it. I know i have to use Credit Card but i prefer buying stuff when i get to see it and touch it before i purchase it.

There are many ways to buy legit cheap copies like steam or Ebay etc.
The truth of the matter is that these 'twats' make money by stealing our work and scamming people no doubt using pics similar to these

to convince them this is a retail product and that they are getting a good deal

You have to love these countries....download a mod, pu it on a CD and then go out selling it as your game in shopping malls lol!

To be fair, EF is of the standard of an official expansion so a lot of people WOULD be easily fooled.

Did they use the new, darker cover that we used for the actual release date? I bloody well hope so...

And yeah, Relic themselves said that many people thought Eastern Front was theirs. I'm cool with that.

Aye, whilst the morals of it all are pretty dubious it speaks alot for the mod that people can be conned into believing that its an actual Relic product.  :)

Think you definately achieved the "expansion pack" aim of the mod.

Its both immoral and frustrating to see people profiting from the work of others. On the same note of course, I have no sympathy for the suckers who pay for it, when they could have had it for free by just acting lawfully.

If you want to  find the leader of the Pirated DVD or whatever. His nickname is Loongkee. very famous indeed even Left 4 Dead Password is Loongkee for all Pirated Version. Battlefield also.

Men of War: Assault Squad been selling Pirated version instead it haven't been launch officially. The game was suppose to be launch 2011.

C & C Reborn and C & C A Path Beyond mod is selling with the Command & Conquer 1st Decade with 3 DVDs ( Original 2 only )

Yes they sell the games with that picture in the front pages. But they remove the MODDB and place there Relic. And in the between of the Relic and  ESRB it put there PC GAMER 5 START must buy!

Do you know how to install this mod? Just like installing the normal Company of Heroes with CD key. The CD key is (1111-1111-1111-cafe)  If i remember the last box is cafe.

It can log in even in pirated version. But what to do? i in 3rd world County who can gets Info like this not to be cheated.

Why bother? You can't always fix everything. Besides, what does it matter to us? Our version is better anyway. If they want to waste their money, more power to them.

Besides wouldn't that be sinking to their standards? Personally if the Devs did that I would drop this mod in a heartbeat. I don't support anybody who purposely makes bugs and viruses with the intention of causing damage. I'm disgusted it was even mentioned in jest. Be careful what you say my friend...

As for your whole pirated games discussion, not every Malaysian or Asian purchase illegitimate games. My very first game was Warcraft 2 back in the day, and it's legitimate and all my games have been legitimate since. Perhaps your circle of friends are into software piracy. Almost every friend of mine plays legitimate copies of their games with the exception of 1 or 2 that pirates everything (it happens everywhere).

What's funny is you started a topic asking if there's any way to stop EF from getting pirated, but you purchased the pirated copy yourself to test it (and maybe play it?). The first step to stopping software piracy is to stop buying them and report those fraudulent sellers to the authorities.

I'm pretty sure they would edit that out.

But to conclude this, piracy is the same as theft. Plain and simple. Buying pirated games is the same as stealing. If you can't afford it don't buy it. There is no excuse.

WartyX have you ever been in NYCs Chinatown? Well, If u haven't then u would love to see the Corner Stores down there. I've seen people sell Counterfeit TOOTHPASTE and SOCKS, let alone video games. And just today i saw Eastern Front on a floppy and some old Chinese guy tried to sell it to me. I told him to piss off, and asked my friends (in Chinese since i don't speak it) to tell him that if he doesn't stop selling that disc i will call the cops on him for selling illegal merchandise. Do you guys perhaps have a copyright on the mod, can u even get copyrights on mods?

A person I knew who says video games says he made EF, I told him about this and now he dosent sell it. It wasnt a big compnay.

Other then that, I remember my friends housing area is selling pirated DVD around the Road there. But just a opposite site of the road is a police man catching Motorbike Driver who don't have driving license. The DVD dealer is selling his DVD like nothing happen, Business as usual.

there is a download website that streams music , addons and such (legally)
but also movies , games and TV shows (illegally) and its proven and under pressure from the police but it still hasnt been closed after several months hehe.

So what's the problem with telling the police?

Best case scenario: Police shut these motherf---ers down.
Worst case scenario: Police collect large bribe, motherf---ers have less money to continue their illegitimate activities with.

Regardless, I think this guy is being silly. Everyone thinks their countries police are all corrupt but I tend to believe a lot of the time it's just misperception.

I could also say just tell your friends to tell everyone not to buy this stuff and that you can buy the game for just as cheap on Steam and be able to play online.

But quite frankly I'm just getting an "uneducated tool from some craphole of a country" vibe from this whole thread. Maybe it's the iffy english, I dunno. Sorry if I offend, but I'm really tired of countries like yours fucking up the industry for the whole world with all the pirates you support.

Anyone could have and should have known better to buy the damn thing in the first place. I don't care where you're from or what your culture is, theft is theft no matter how many cultural boundaries you cross. And buying stolen goods is theft by association. The money you pay directly contributes to the theft.
