error when trying to launch the game

so i've install everything including its updates to my CoH folder inside SteamApps/common/Company of Heroes

when i click play, it says "Unable to locate Company of Heoes directory"


help pleaseeee???

You should follow these steps:

1)Open EF Launcher
2)Click OK on Error Message
3)Click on Settings Menu
4)Change the current path of CoH to the correct one. Currently you should have nothing, just a grey text box.
5)After chosing the correct path,  you can now play from the launcher. Of course, perhaps you'll need to update your EF. If you updated EF before solving this error, most probably won't be able to update by the launcher, if not you should click on the "Check for Updates" button.

If you updated EF before solving this error, you should follow these steps:
1)Go to CoH folder, then to EF_Updates or something like that, you will recognize the correct folder because it stores the patches you download.
2)Execute each update in their respective order(Updates from 1.21 or above).
3)You are ready to play the lattest version of EF.

okay now i have a new problem, i can't play as the ostbeek

the ostbeek did not appear in the faction selection

help please

You can't play with them yet because the devs aren't finished making them, its not your fault.

Well ive tried doing what you said if u have the updates installed and it didnt work. so im going to try to reinstall it without the updates, just wondering wuts the correct path??

As you wish, you can try this if you like before uninstalling the game(or if the error is the persists after reinstalling):

open regedit(start->run->regedit) and search for this path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Company of Heroes" if you have 64 bits OS seek for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Company of Heroes".
