Error: Eastern Front Mod is up to date [Fixed]

Hello
I've just installed the latest version of Eastern front on my Windows 7 PC with a Tales of Valour steam version.

Updated through the launcher, but when I click on play I get an error box reading "Eastern Front Mod is up to date".
I've followed the installation guide word for word.

Any way to start the game?

I'm kinda new here, so I'm not that experienced with all the crashes yet but... Could it be that you didn't change the default directory when patching? I noticed that I had to change it from the THQ directory, which is incorrect, to the Steam folder for each and every patch.

The default was
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes\CoH\

which is where Company of heroes is installed.
I also tried with
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes
to no avail

Solution for anyone who may stumble upon this:

One must install EF in the Company of heroes folder however, in the launcher settings when asked to select the "CoH directory" they in fact refer to the Company of Heroes folder and NOT the one called CoH
