Would EF be interested in an Finnish faction?

Hi, well I've been trying to get Finland into the game, and no, I'm not Finnish, but I've been thinking about getting into the modding scene for some time now, I did a reaaaally small bit of coding and mapping for other games, just some messing about (well, I did do a massive amount of maps in Crysis, but that's something else.)
I modelled a little bit using sketchup, and messed around with a friend's copy of 3ds Max.
So what I'm going to do is start small and just reskin some troops and tanks once I got Finland in, then I'll try to make their weapons, and finally the tanks they had.

My question is if I could maybe... just maybe... finish the Finns, would they be incorporated into EF?

Plus, If I've been working at the Finns and a new version of EF comes, does that mean I have to restart everything all over again?

At the time being, there are no plans for more factions after the ostheer as far as I know. Also, the finnish won't become part of the ostheer. To clarify: the ostheer won't have a unit named "*insert country* infantry"

No, what I meant is that if I could finish Finland, would they put it in the mod?

I going to try and make a new faction not a unit.

For me it's pretty obvious, that adding a faction - is a very complicated procedure, which will require future support (balancing, adding rewardies etc) from the devs.

Another point "aganist" is that then we'll need 4th "Allies" faction ingame.

Also, EF sets up pretty high quality demands to it's contents (models, balance) - I hope your faction is as great, as SU.

Still, I don't think it will be green-lighted.

Tico_1990 and Reckless are correct. We have no plans for any other factions other than the Ostheer. The Finns have been discussed enough already, and the answer remains the same... no.

A Finnish faction would lack any real variety; small highly skilled groups of infantry that can build defensive structures, with a smattering of German vehicles and captured Russian ones. You might as well reskin the PE and give them Brit trenches.

If you want to make the Finns, good luck, but we won't incorporate it into EF. We have our own plans on how we'd like to incorporate Foreign units into the Eastern Front.

Wait for the Ostheer! its gonna be awesome especially because Apex havent got a word to say about the Faction design ;)

Haha. Its a group effort design, but the balance will be well in the hands of professionals when we get there.

Well, I always felt we should have included Finns as a full Ostheer doctrine as I do feel they had a lot of potential rather than...more germans....

But like many others things its all about majority opinions and people can agree to disagree.
That's the way it should be and its that's why I'm not personally involved in the Ostheer part of our mod.
I'm sure the faction will be great and people will enjoy it alot.

The problem I guess with adding in an full Finnish doctrine for the Ostheer is simply the amount of crying that will go on when announced. Romanians, Hungarians, Italians, Spanish, Martians, etc will all feel excluded. We can either take the Seeme approach and say FUCK EM! or try and cater from everybody's tastes.

I personally don't have a problem with have specific Country specific unit call ins, I think it would be better/more realistic, but it would call for more work.

Hmm.. well, some guy here on the forums said he was going to add the Italians for Eastern Front, and some other guys were adding in Hungary and the Free French for regular COH over at Relicnews, so I thought with so many people making their own factions I might just try my hand at adding in a faction too.
If you guys don't want the Finns then that's fine, I'll just use them as modding practice then, and later maybe try to make an North African mod.

So.. what about my second question?
Will an update to EF overwrite my work for the Finns?
