Install problems

So I downloaded this mod, tried to install it as normal mods. Didn't work, so I made some research and find out how it's supposed to install for steam version of CoH.

I did install it to ..\steam\steamapps\common\Company of heroes. The same folder where my CoH is installed.

"Unable to locate Company of Heroes directory"

Ok, so I uninstalled and installed it again... double checked that the install directory will the the correct. I download the patches and "Unable to locate Company of heroes directory"

So am I just completely idiot or is there something wrong?

Do you have a retail CoH install too?

Which value has this path on regedit?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall/Company of Heroes]

Or if you have a 64 bits OS look up here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Company of Heroes

In either case, it should have your current path
"InstallLocation"="...."

I purchased all of the coh games from steam.

That regedit thing... I don't have any idea what those anagrams means  ???

I mean... run regedit(Start menu->Run->regedit), and search for that path :P. Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE "folder" and then search for the "folder" named Software and so on 'till you find Company of heroes. if you have 64 bits OS you should use the second path.

You will know if have 64 bit OS if you see My PC->Properties.

When you find company of heroes "folder" on regedit click on it and at the right panel you will see something like this:



Check that the "InstallLocation" one has the correct path to CoH. If not, modify it. Just that value.

I found that regedit thing and checked that InstallLocation and it is the same ..\steam\steamapps\common\Company of heroes.

So the problem isn't that, right?

You have just one CoH installed, right?

Well I got Company of heroes, Opposing fronts and tales of valor.

All real, purchased games from steam, no wares or anything.

But I wonder, where can I see the current version of my steam CoH? Just thinking would it be because of I got some old version of CoH and stupid steam isn't updated it...

You will see CoH version on the center/bottom of the main screen. But Steam in normal circumstances autoupdate everything. Can you backup your CoH ToV files on steam, uninstall EF, uninstall CoH and restore you CoH backup?

You shouldn't have any problem with the keys, I assume that you have all your keys in the same account right?
