Bergy68\'s [WIP] 4v4 Tractor Works

Hi everyone,

First off thanks to all that was involved in this Mod. Second I've been waiting a long time for the Russians, then I found out about this mod searching google to see if Relic was in the process of doing this. I've had the mod now for about 4months.

The reason I'm posting this is its my way of saying thanks.

I'm currently working on a ambitious project a map dedicated to the EF "Tractor Works". Its very close to being a scale version...will be 4v4.

This link will take you to my thread at the relic forums, ignore the first bit you since the map changed from an ASL map layout to a Historical Layout.

I'll post some pics here for you all to see ASAP.

Thanks again for the awesome mod. ;)

Hey Bergy!

Nice map! I had the idea too to build a map based on aerial photos. Do you have any idea where i can get a 3D reproduction or photos of the area where Pavlov´s house is?

Would be nice if you can make the river Wolga in your map. Just a little on the outer corner of the map.

Do you want to make your factory battle damaged?
This movie can give you some idea (i think it´s showing the attack on the tractor factory too)

(3/13) Stalingrad

Keep up the good work!

cheers

Hey Killar

Try this link for Pavlovs House...maybe maybe not, but it might point ya in a new direction. This link was provided for me from someone at the relic fourms.

http://www.fireonthevolga.com/

Two answer a couple of your questions:

There will be a bit of the Volga in the map, that area will be the starting postion for the Russians.

I will be adding factory damage edventually, Ill be adding it in selected chunks thou to benifit gameplay. Small area here Large one there and so on.

Edit: Just watched the clip...I have to get this movie I've heard about but have yet to see it all. I hear its 10times better then Enemy at the Gates, which was a fantastic film in my mind. But yeah that film could be very insparational.

Update on the map, Started adding the sewers inside the factories, these will add heavy cover in open areas (like a trench) and slow down tank movement inside the factories a bit. Bad place for a tank to be hanging around anyways. hehe.

First couple of pics are of the sewers and some girders...following that is the construction of an infastructure around it.

Hey Bergy,
i just did saw your map on Relicnews, it looks really nice.

I just want to say:
May the ai is getting some problems with your Victory Point placements!
May you should use Thumbnails instead of such big pictures?

Thanks for your Attention!

Re: Bergy68\'s [WIP] 4v4 Tractor Works

Hey Mystic,

Thanks I'm glad you like what you see thus far, I have a long long ways to go still.

As for the AI not to sure what you meant...but the victory points at the moment are tenitve in there location, they move around a lot still, except for the center one.

Re: Bergy68\'s [WIP] 4v4 Tractor Works

I like atmosphere 3  ;)

It's a very close combat battle, I think there isn't enought space for many tank right?

Anyway, good job! :)

PS Killar what's the title of the movie that you posted? I never saw a movie from the Germans's point of view.
There's an italian version?

Hey Moon,

Thanks glad you like things so far, as for tanks you may be surprised to know that there is a fair amount of room for tank movement.

To answer Your question for Killar the movie is called Stalingrad
