[1.2.0] Launcher won't patch. says EF does not appear to be installed.

When I install EF 1.2 the installer tries to put a : in the start menu folder which windows won't allow, so i remove that and it installs. Installation finishes and i go to my start menu and all that's under Eastern Front is "uninstall company of heroes". I start the launcher manually from my COH folder and when it tried to patch it says "eastern front does not appear to be installed please try reinstalling." I have reinstalled and the same thing happens. It will launch just fine but the launcher wont patch. Is there at least a link to 1.2.1 that i can manually patch?
