They look good, tempted to use the Officer one.

Re: The Wolf's Lair: Ostheer-inspired Misc. Stuff

Oooh, avatar #5 gave me an idea - I'll post if it's any good ;)

Nice work btw.

Edit:

Meh, maybe not - so little space to work with!!
If I upload the tank images - care to have a go at designing something to replace the King Tiger, Calliope and Hetzer call-ins? - that displays the original unit and the the new unit in some way.

Can't have new trees replacing the original ones so am mixing the descriptions (changing the name of the call in, and adding a "REWARD UNIT:" bit to the description), would like to mix the icons in the same way.

Was going to try a ghost of the new unit behind the old one - but with the amount of pixels available that's not very easy.

Re: The Wolf's Lair: Ostheer-inspired Misc. Stuff

Just a small note about sig.5:
Your sig: Und das Heißt...Erika!
"Correct": Und das heißt...Erika!
Just a cosmetical/linguistical correction.

And my personal note; i think it would be cooler when u
wirte the hole refrain:
Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein.
Und das heißt...Erika xD

I love that song ^^

About avatar 3: Hans von Gröbel is still alive  ;D
Jeah! The Codename Panzers Hero. That game was
so cool. I played it so intensive. Gröbel is my hero  :D

And all in all; cool grafic stuff here!  ;D
May the force be with you.

I also admit to being a WW2 fanatic... In fact, I collect a lot of vintage Soviet and German (Imperial and Third Reich) militaria.  ;) And I think it's a family thing as well, since both my wife's family and mine were mostly on the side who lost WW2 (Hers: Langemarck[1 grandfather KIA], Wallonien [2 grandfathers, and 1 grand-uncle MIA], 1st The Royal Dragoons [1 great-grandfather KIA and 1 grandfather]; Mine: Nordland [1 great-grandfather, and 1 grand-uncle KIA], Lützow [1 great-grand-uncle KIA], Kurmark [1 grand-uncle], Feldhernhalle II [2 grandfathers KIA], 5. Panzer-Division [1 grand-uncle KIA]). But I digress.  :)

I just started out with 500x500 templates, then reduced them to their current sizes...it's a bit tricky though  :P

Re: The Wolf's Lair: Ostheer-inspired Misc. Stuff

no worry! I hope you enjoyed your holidays!  :)

I was just wondering how to edit a image to look like relics comic style...

As i´m loving to draw, i was making a win screen for soviets:

Forum post image

I´m not done yet. Under the flag there should be a destryed german tank or an advancing t34.

How do you like it?

greetings

Wow! that's quite a sketch!  ;) You're on the right track, composition-wise... you can also add something like an explosion or advancing troops in the immediate background (center) to further unify all of the elements.  ;) The officer waving a Tokarev's a very good choice as well.

Hmm, for the Relic-style effects you can try using Adobe® Photoshop filters (CS2 onwards are the best IMO---I use CS5) or alternatively, you could "paint" it yourself with CS4/CS5 or Corel® Painter 11. It'll be easier with a Wacom pen and tablet (preferably Cintiq) though...it feels just like the real thing  ;D 8) But that's just me, I guess. The devs might be able to help you out a bit more...  :D

Well, I hope that helped, somehow...  ;) Good luck, Kamerad! And kindly share with us your results when you're done!  :D
