Soviet Jeep

I have posted this before, and still many of you keep wondering if the USSR ever used a light reconnaissance vehicle like a jeep. I never actually posted this I a thread by itself. The Soviets did use a jeep, they were produced by a company called GAZ, who frankly made a variety of different models, such as:

The GAZ-64

The GAZ-87B

I hope these finally answer your questions, unless you already knew. Thank you for reading.

Re: Soviet Jeep

I would rather see something like the BA-64.
The jeeps you suggested were as far as I know just license-builts from American Jeep and additionally a russian jeep-unit would be like a German Schwimmwagen or US Jeep.

BA-64 would fit much better into the whole Soviet-concept, I think.

Re: Soviet Jeep

In Eastern Front files, there's some "unused" files, one of them called BA-64. I guess they are carrying out some sort of an experiment 8).

Re: Soviet Jeep

BA-64 has been there forever, same with the Marine Infantry. My guess is you'll eventually see them as reward units, but probably not for a while.

I don't think a Lend-Lease Jeep would be a horrible idea either. It's basically the only thing the Soviets actually liked. Plus the Mustering Tent already has a Jeep in the actual model. :P

Re: Soviet Jeep

Re: Soviet Jeep

In my poll, the majority of people voted for a jeep-like unit from the barracks. I would like to see it added for more early diversity.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.
