[Question]Will the OstHeet Units speak German?

First: I'am not very good at English ;)

My Question ist: Will the OstHeer Units speak German like the Russian soldiers

If they do, what will they say?

They will propably say: "Verdammt! Diese sowjetischen Panzer schwärmen wie die Fliegen..." :)

I would be already happy when german panzers will say:"Panzer marsch!''  ;D

But all in all i think the german voices are a less problem then the models, the units and the hole Ostheer faction xD

what if the Germans said lines from famous movies???
like:

That would be neat, but I'd rather be notified in English when smething happens like I've just lost a unit.

Again, while I wish I could understand the Russian, it would knock the classic spirit of EF out of the mod.

Just hit the Spacebar when you see something on the left pop up, it'll take you directly to what's going on, be it an upgrade or a bombing.

Another good on is hitting . | . Takes you to the next idle unit, so just to make sure everyone is doing something, hit . to check through your units.

The current plan is that the Ostheer will use soundbytes from your Company of Heroes localisation (be it English, French, whatever). This will keep unnecessary filesizes down.

Makes sense to save time and filesize when making use of something perfectly capable that already exists. Besides the current german voices are fine.

How would one change the sound files to make the German soldiers actually speak their language. It's kind of rude for Relic to make the Germans speak English in terrible accents.

maybe to help those who only speak english. There is a german version.

I see no problem with the (German) soldiers talking the way they did in the original game. I rather liked that they spoke German every now and than and talked in this "Allo Allo" kind of way the other times

Question: Is it possible to modify files to make the soldiers actually speak their home language, if so which ones.

If they wont, where can I get a German Voices Mod that actually works? Ive looked everywhere for something compatible with ToV & the latest patch

I appreciate it man, but I already got it...it really does make the game more enjoyable...however since I know only a little German, I listen for key words like: Artillerie, Panzer, or Unter Fire.......havent lost a whole squad because of the language yet, and I dont think itll happen :) Thanks alot though man

Why don't you put the German voicing for the Ostheer for those who have the PE and Wehrmacht speak English, and English voicing for the ones who have the PE and Wehrmacht speak German?

That way, everybody gets to hear new voicing when the Ostheer arrives!

And I'm against amateur voicing in this mod. The vCoH voices were done by hired pr0s. They are excellent.

I just wanna smash my head against a wall when Ì think of the campaign voicing in Men of War... That was done by the developers of the mod, and not professionals.
