Dead tanks

When I was finally playing the EF mod after 1,000,000 probelms, I was playing berlin and saw the sv-40 or die and it didnt go all black and coaly(if thats a word).It was kinda cool and It still had broke wheels and turret and I thought if tanks kept there color and dosent trun into dust it could make the game look real and not weird.

Also when a live tank goes in the way of a dead tank it crushes it, and I think that dosent make much sense becuase not only the that it probely wont crush it into dust but it gives commad points. If you were a tank driver and you so happen to be able to crush a tank, I dont think it will make you stronger or make you know more.

And last this will probely never happen but I think that we sould be, somehow, able to kill the tank crew but not the tank so that the tank would still be there but no doing anything. So with that we sould add tank crews! There fairly weak infantry and could go into these derseted tanks and could use them. Though relic would go blah blah blah unfair this and balence that and like I said it will never happen I think that will make the game more interesting.

Basiclly am saying if you didnt understand my bad writeing


1. When tanks die- kept there color and dont get blown up to thousands of parts.

2. Alive tanks souldnt crush dead tanks and SOULD NOT gwt commad points for it.

3. Somehow something could make all the people in the tanks dead and tank crews could retake them

On online am retake if you ever wanna play me.

well,

with destroying the tank it is more of a tactic in game. so that the wehrmacht players cant gain munitions from the ruin.

you can still kill the tanks with bombs and shells

i disagreed

1-tanks loose the color to avoid confusion
2-crushing dead tanks is a counter to the repairtiger, the soviet mechanics and the wehrmacht, yes, you can blow them up with bombs and shells, but is more simple and easy to just drive a tank and crush it
3-this is basically giving a advantage the Panzer Elite and Soviets have to all sides, not to mention the repair tiger will be kinda useless in that situation

COH may have a realism as one of his main aims, but that doesnt mean the gameplay should be changed to please realism

I see entirely what you mean from a realism perspective, but I think the decision to have them act as they do is more a gameplay choice than an attempt to add realism.

After all in the real world running into a disabled tank would probably cause your own vehicle a heap of damage  ???

I do like your idea of being able to essentially re-crew a tank though.  Perhaps Relic will give us a Finland side (I understand the Finns were known for using captured armor - forgive me if I don't have that historically accurate?)

Now I see why you can crush tanks, but none talked about re-crewing tanks?
