Ostheer guesstestamate release date?

I know you have said "When it is done" and I understand you develop this game in your free time and hell it is free so I am not pushing I am just curious what a ballpark would be for the ostheer? By that I mean weeks, months, a year?

It isn't going to be soon, but it isn't going to be years.

Not as long as it took for the Soviets(though they're not fully done still lol)...probably...hopefully...

German Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front; although it may include elements from other Axis nations like Finland, Hungary, etc.

Finland was only axis till 1944 correct ?

Have you guys made final decisions on "Definate" units?

well axis until 44 because that's when Russia FINALLY ate them, took them long enough... Will the loss of the great modeler mrscruff greatly hinder efforts? Sounds like he did 90% of the vehicle models.

What ever happened to him in the first place? I knew he was amazing at modding and is now within the afterlife of his choice but how did he get there if it is no intrusion asking?

Car accident.. theres a thread on it... I never knew scruff but he seemed like the kind of guy a mod community needs.. R.I.P  :'(

Mr Scruff left us with a crateload of Axis models, some of which fit into our Ostheer concept.

Any teasers on what the concept shall be ?

Devs, whatever you do, don't rush it. Take your time, and if Akalonor gives you too much trouble, just tell him you guys are working hard to get the Maus into the initial release.

LOL maus no lol I think it could be a campaign unit but not PvP but leave Akalonor alone we are all eager to see the Ostheer but on the other hand TAKE YOUR TIME do the best you can do! Not some unpolished BS like COH or DoW V 1.0 even your V 1.0 was not horribly unbalanced!

I think you just caused more trouble than I could right there Soldat haha
But yeah Take yor time, whenever I want to play as Germans I play Lightning War mod  and If I play EF all I play as are the Russians.(I dont like US or British) Good Job and keep it up!

Hope Mr. Scruff has left enough models behind you can use for the ostheer. that should save time

Mainly because 3 years ago, COH wasn't very 'mod-friendly' (it still isn't). Now that the tools are out, the team knows its way around the game, and we have plenty of content already they should be able to make the Ostheer in a lot less time than the Soviets.
