88 sound now a thud instead of a crack?

Is it just me or is the 88 in EF a "Thud" type of sound instead of the 'cracking' of air of a high velocity shell?.

it is, I like it.. sounds more like a cannon  :D

I liked the old sound better but I did not understand why the other 88mm guns sounded different.

So players can tell whether it is a Tiger or a fixed cannon, perhaps?

perhaps though It's always nice when things a more realistic/logical  ;D

Yeah, I get worried when the tiger shows up.... I can sniper the 88....

I do not like the new 88 sound at all... it has no echo at all sounds more like a laser to me, you would not get such a short lived sound IRL I know it as a fact! I actually went to a renactment where they had a restored flak 36 doing blanks (blanks are not as loud because there is no pressure change as the slug leaves the barrel) and it echoed in the valley for a good 2-3 seconds. Unrelated but they also had a JU87 with the jerico sirens doing mock runs with pyro effects and film and games do not seam to understand that those sirens are the same sound they think airplanes make as they crash... siren sound here > Stuka diving sound and can often get much more shrill with faster dives
