Great SS on the tank, looks great! I was looking at screens of Soviet armor from WW2 last night. They seemed to have more simple color schemes and markings than the other factions and not so much the unique camo patterns. I do realize the hard work involved with making this mod. Expecially when u are making the new units from scratch as you said. Keep up the good work and support for EF!
90% of soviet tanks were plain green...winter time they were 'white washed'. On rare occasions they'd get more creative with the white and make patterns.
A small percentage used red brown paint or mud even over the green to create camo...like the tank rider T34.
An even tinier percentage had at the beginning of the war a 3 colour camo on their T34s sand/green/dark brown. Near the end of the war, some guard units adopted camo with four colours green/sand/brown/black. These were all VERY rare-My guess is they didn't want AT gunners or Alied aircraft identifying them as germans just because of the camo and pound them to dust.
On a small note near the end of the war they started painting yellow triangles on the roof top to avoid being hit by allied aircraft...then they found German tanks were using the same to avoid being hit9sneaky bastards) so they changed it to the white lines/cross...although that n turn spelled 'bullseye' for german gunners
I know my stuff ;)
