Here's an ide. What do you think? Deployable 88mm, but it will be brutal?

All heavy guns are deployable. engineers deploy them. Its not like they build them out of sand and wood.

Problem with a mobile 88, is that it would have to be towed. Unfortunately, no such animation is present in CoH and I'm pretty sure the modders can't add new animations.

What about making it be "pushed" like other artillery guns, or have it "lock" to a truck like British lieutenants and line infantry but make it lock on much closer so it "looks" like it is being towed.

And yes, I want a mobile 88.
a tiger I :)
Paciat wrote:That's a bit of an exaggeration. I think the Cromwell weighed about the same as a Sherman (+/- 30 tonnes) and a 88mm on a chassis weighed up to 10 tonnes. Of course, pushing it is impossible either way ;D I think I've heard about 88mm's being put on the chassis of PzKw IV's, but I don't think they saw action. Probably never made it beyond a prototype.HyperSniper999 wrote:Rhio wrote:

This gun was bigger than a cromwell. It cannot be pushed.

It's too bad really. I remember using the 88mm on a chassis, just like in that picture in the Sudden Strike games and they were my favourite guns.
