The KV-1 tanks should be a reward tank that replaces the su-85/100

Im not sure what to call this, but a soviet truck that can be upgraded ( not through armory) to become a supply truck and mobile reinforcement hq/outpost

what do you guys think?

I like the KV-1 but I dont understand the 2nd part

Think hes saying to upgrade the medic truck to reinforce.

Thats what an outpost is for.

I guess the KW-1 would be a nice alternative.
Would it have ist own 76->85 gun upgrade or would the T-34 gun upgrade work for KW-1 too?

IMHO.. the KV-1 would be the first heavy tank available for soviet in place of IS-2 (the IS-2 will be buildable after an upgrade in the "Soviet Supply Depot" ); in this way the game would be better balanced, cause the KV-1 is nice against stugIV e panzerIV but weak against panther and tiger. The IS-2 in the middle game is a too big advatange for soviet, while a "weaker" KV-1 is more historical e well balanced heavy tank for middle game. Then in late game Soviet can deploy IS-2 after a 250 or 300 ammo upgrade similar to T34\85 and SU-100 upgrades.

If the KV1 was to be a reward unit, it would likely replace the T34...and would be probably along the lines of a churchill. As a similar upgrade you could have the KV-85...but this isn't likely to happen fellas  :P

And, yea, I agree. IS2 should come in later needing an
upgrade before can come in :)

or an alternative can be (but i don't like it cause germans have many tanks and soviet would be pair:

T-34\76-85 isn't a new tank
Katyusha is like a faster nebelwerfer or stukazufuss with more rockets but the price is similar.

With the exception o naked panther of PE, the short-gun Panzer IV the germans have 8 different tanks and soviet 6 different tanks (but the T-70 is very weak despite the enemy side.. 3 panzer IV can be dangerous against a IS-2 (final tank for soviet), while 3-4 T-70 make smile the Panther or tiger :-)))

you cant compare t-70's with panzer IV. its another class.
also you cant compare the amount of tanks of one
faction with 2 factions.

I'd be keen to see the KV1 out there.

Ok, you're right; but soviet have few tanks than germans. Surely this game is not historically accurate but we have

KV-1 was produced more than KV-2 ( a moving tank-buster, i think it's number should be limited to 2 in game)

The appearance of the German Panther tank in the summer of 1943 convinced the Red Army to make a serious upgrade of its tank force for the first time since 1941. Soviet tanks needed bigger guns to take on the growing numbers of Panthers and the few Tigers.

A stopgap upgrade to the KV series was the short-lived KV-85 or Object 239. This was a KV-1S with a new turret designed for the IS-85, mounting the same 85 mm D-5T gun as the SU-85 and early versions of the T-34-85. Already-high demand for the gun slowed production of the KV-85 tremendously, and only 148 were built before the KV design was replaced. The KV-85 was produced in the fall and winter of 1943-44; they were sent to the front as of September 1943,the production of the KV-85 was stopped by the spring of 1944 once the IS-2 entered full scale production.

So it's logical to make available immediately the KV-1 model 1942 (or KV-1C) as heavy tank with a gun similar (i think a bit better) to T-34 but better armour so soviet can fight well PanzerIV,STUGIV and with an upgrade to sblock the IS-2 in the same time when german begin the production of Panther V.

It would be great if we will have IS-3 as reward unit,and ISU-152 to be built in tank hall.

PSIHO, no... the ISU152 is a call on stop trying to have it replaced (though it does suck and I rarely ever use it)

Your right about that, i would also like to see the KV-1.
but it must be a reward unit! for the T-34 in my opionion.

otherwise the red army would have to many tanks, and most of these would be useless as well.

The test tanks of IS 3 was completed in May 1945 so the tank capable of fight newer saw WW2... ;)

hmm idk, this game is not accurate but if you replace the infamous t-34 "MEDIUM TANK" with a KV-1 "HEAVY TANK" it would difine the Red Army in the opposite of what it truly was , Fast and Vast. T-34s were the mainstay of the Red Army, so I believe that the KV-1 should replace the su-100 or the IS-2. ( which can be later upgraded to be equivilant of the IS-2,  )

Or how about an Idea that I think was forgotten.
A BA-64 scout car build in a Sowiet WSC (no tank hull required). It could replace T-90.

The BT-7 could replace the T-70. With a top speed of over 40Mph (64Km/h) it would be a fast recon tank.
