knights cross

i had a knights squad fight it out with a strelky with upgrades(flag, ppsh) and the knights got wiped clean off the floor, they weren't even a challenge for the strelky, while it may be right to have the strelkys win in the end they didn't lose one man and my 3 man squad was wiped out
i think the knights cross need added hit points v.s. them and guards too possiblely (havnt had knights v.s. guards

Strange , quite the opposite happened to me, my ppsh strelky got wiped by Knights (with vet.3 dough ) in 1v1, guards can beat Knights with grenades and suppression but then again it all depends from situation to situation.

read more history books.There is a case where a shell from ISU 152 blowned up Tiger 1 tank in one piece,blow up his turret away.There is no question about that ISU 152 can do a lot of dmg to german tanks,but definitely ISU shouldn't have so much armor.So I guess this game need only one thing,and that is RANGE of guns.that Tiger should be what he was,a long range great tank that could destroy enemy tanks at great distance.Because at point blank range I cant kill T 34-76 with my tiger,and reality was something diffrent,so no point of arguing about reality in this game,isn't it?

I suppose this is owed to you using your Knights to charge against Strelkys with upgrades standing behind green cover.

You wouldn´t believe how being in cover or in the open, and moving or still, influence some situations.

I have seen that happen to Knights as well. They dont seem as good as before. HOWEVER, PE inf now kicks some major butt! MP44 vet squads rack up 80+ kills in a game mostly killing conscripts, but still.

I always combined Knights with at least 2 other units, and never lost a squad, but honestly, I haven't played as Axis Vs Soviets very much either,
might say I`m a commy to the last drop of blood :)

2.green cover on both

As far as I understand it, Strelky upgraded = vet 2, so no surprise there, really.

They should make some Hero of the Soviet union units :P

Were they vetted? B/c Vet 3 KC have not problem with any type of Russian infantry, unless its flamers, same goes for Wehr Grenadiers. The best bet for infantry battles with Wehr vs. USSR is to Vet them to Vet 3 ASAP. Once you achieve that, its very difficult for Russian infantry to 1v1 or even 2v1 a German infantry squad.

they were unvetted but i stil beleive the cost required to ge to them is enough compared to russian inf that they should be given added hitpoints, even without being vetted

If you want to use the knights cross efficiently, vet them to level three and give them a volks-grenadier with Mp-40s. I found a simple Volk squad can take on most Russian units (save for the guard) when upgraded with Mp-40. another possible unit to combine the Knight's cross holder is the normal Grenadier, upgraded twice to carry two Mg-42. That should be enough to take care of most Russian inf.
