Countering vet flamer pio spam with PE AC rush.

Anyone have any good suggestions on how to counter vet flamer pio spam rush with AC car rush in 2v2 as the Soviets?

I found Soviets to be pretty helpless in this regard because we had control of 60% of the map, and yet still wasn't enough to get 130 fuel minimum needed for the weakest of armor.

Flamer pios owned all the conscripts including the command squads and they had AC cars to back them.

Any suggestions I'm not thinking of?

Did you got a chance to get a few CPs to (5?) to get tank riders, theyre the only counter I can think of, tank hunters and zis-2 get owned by flamers and strelky get pwned by the AC+Pio thing, mortars<AC, guards cant be reached until 150 fuel... and i doubt they could be of use.. Sturmovie Ingenery get killed too, have you tried strelky+zis-2? maybe with MG dugouts and katyusha, it could work, but then its a lot to micromanage all the time vs. a simple "Spam ACs" pe player and "Spam Flame Pios" axis player..

sharpshooter / tank hunter is a pretty lethal combo.

Put your tank hunters in ambush mode, move up a sharpshooter and snipe the pio, the AC will likely come for you, head back a bit to the ambush location and blow the AC to hell.

but that takes a lot of pop, 2 sov players could get each 4 sharps and 4  tankhunters with 40 pop and the germans get 20 pios with flamers and 10 armoured cars...

I would think the PE would just build a few assault infantry with their acs and the axis would get volks with mp40 and hunt the few tankhunters and sharps

although, you can reinforce better and build units more quickly without any fuel or munitions costs.

It can work.

k heres some stuff we usually do when we play sovjets, really dont know why ppl have issues playing against axis...

1.minimize the use of infantry, conscripts in general. conscripts suck PERIOD. they simply do. built as few as you can afford. stick to your command-squad

2.sovjet mortars are totally hilarious. since pio-tactics usually involve heavy blobbing there goes ur de-blob tool no.1
sharpshooter are NOT the anwser. any axis player worth his salt will retreat any 1-man squads, additionally even 2 snipers simply cant stem the tide of 5+ pio-squads. you will be walked over in no time

3. get packs. they have the necessary range to scare those ACs away. and they two-shot-kill...

4. upgraded ingeniery rock. high damage output + they dont have elite-armor which is especially vulnerable to flamers. oh yeah and free satchels to blow up any axis bunkers for free..

5. save ur fuel to IS-2. after 1.IS-2 comes 2.IS-2 and so on ^^

6. best doctrine is by far "breakthrough strategy". either go for the ridiculous ISU-152 or the even more ridiculous IL-2 Sturmoviks. Tank-Riders is another incredible strong call-in

we havent lost a single game with this build so far, although having started playing EF the day it was released

Are you kidding? We didn't have a teammate for half of  the game.

However, of course we can play again. Its no fun playing people you know you can beat. You guys are good.

But you gotta do something other than pio/panther spam ^-^

I've talked to a few top players and they say Soviets are  actually pretty weak if the axis know what they are doing. I tend to agree.

No retreat, no re-crewing weapons, and upgrades don't apply to deployed units. Whoever says Soviets are OP = noobs.

P.S.  ISU-152 sucks imo. 1000mp - It moves so slow you think its standing still and it fires about 1 shot per minute.
Probably the easiest thing to circle strafe/flank, considering it's not going anywhere.

dont know why so many ppl cry about sovjets either, but still russians have a huge potential

as i've already said: the fact that you cant retreat makes conscripts and strelky incredible weak. upgraded ingeniery on the other hand come for 150 mp and already have those ppsh + minesweeper and free satchels... they are worth the money

one player goes for paks + mortars and the other one for snipers with arty and faster tanks. thats pretty much THE russian powerhouse atm and everytime we play that we 1a2a3a walk over anything axis put up against us tbh

..and our mate definitly was WAY more retarded than ur sovjet guy  ;D
