EF Generally affects my Vcoh Installation!

Hello guys and congrats for this awesome mod!

Although you said that EF will not affect our original coh in anyway, Im afraid it does. After particularly the 1.01 patch I cant watch replays from original coh (shown as sync error and) and can only connect to games that have EF mod running.. Is it just me or is it like this for everyone?

Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else, I havent found anything so I decided to post it.

Thanks in advance! :)

Re: EF Generally affects my Vcoh Installation!

You can still start your vanilla CoH (just the normal way you did it before EF) then you can join any vanilla CoH game you like and watch vanilla CoH replays.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. If i wanted to watch replays from Vcoh i would just start the normal coh.

However, as the mod described in the FAQs :
QuoteQ: Does EF change my exisiting CoH?
A: No. EF does not modify your existing CoH in anyway. EF is started separately. And even when you start EF, you can still play everything as normal - all existing factions and game modes are still available and not changed in any way. EF is really more an expansion than a mod, it adds the Soviets as new allied faction and the new Eastern Front maps. In fact, you will never have to start your regular CoH again!

Apex as well mentioned in the shoutcasts before the release, "we may not even have to start our normal CoH again with EF".

Am I missing something?  ???

Re: EF Generally affects my Vcoh Installation!

Well, I don't actually get your point:
The original installation is not changed in any way, you can still start your normal CoH without having any changes. So your original installation has not been changed at all.

You 'may not even have to start your normal CoH again' if you're not into replays. We would have fixed replays but unfortunately that is not within our possibilities. We simply can't. If all people played EF and would upload replays recorded in EF then there really would be no reason to start your normal CoH again.
