red tide

red tide doesnt work. i activate it squads die but nothing happens. no squads reappear at my hq.

Are you sure they squads actually died?
If the whole squad is not wiped out, you dont get a free squad. It makes Red Tide not really worth it tbh. rarely do whole squads of your infantry get wiped out so quickly. A few mortars might do it.

Before the release all killed units during Red Tide spawned at the Map entry point. I dunno if that's been changed.

Diablo, It is in my experience that it sometimes simply won't work for some reason. I'll do some tests later.

I've done some test : the red tide work. your free squad do not appear in the HQ but in the insertion point, like diablo said.

However, there is another bug : your strelky alway respawn as "base" strelky even when you have the "red flag" upgrade. I'send red flag strelky to their death so it's not a mistake (for the upgraded conscript it's work )

I am new to gaming in general, and especially to COH EF. As a history buff, I enjoy the game immensely and am finally "learning" how to beat the AI. Looking forward to going head to head soon!

At the risk of drawing the ire of the moderator, I am nonetheless going to ask the question about Red Tide again. Even after reading the few threads on this topic' I am still unsure of exactly why this does not seem to work for me. I can see now this is NOT a bug, and I am not alone in wondering what is happening, or not happening, with this ability.

So; here it is...

When I click on the "Red Tide" button, nothing seems to happen ???. Am I supposed to do something in addition after I click on the button? Are the troops supposed to come from the HQ or somewhere else? Also, what does "for tanks, left click on the icon" mean? Click on what icon? Again, sorry for asking the question again, but, I am missing out on a huge part of the game, and I'm pretty sure it's easy for me to fix with the right feedback. Otherwise, GREAT job, I LOVE the game and now that I found the forum, will be making a donation shortly.

Red Tide works like Allied War Machine but for infantry instead of armor:

When entire infantry squads are wiped out, you receive new squads of the same type that the lost ones near your HQ or from your off-map call-in locations while the ability is active.

Where did you see "for tanks, left click on the icon" text?? Could you post an screenshot?
