Guarenteed EF Success

Awesome mod guys.

One thing I think will almost certainly guarantee that everyone downloads EF without a doubt.

Mirror matches, obviously only for custom games but if you add this feature in, no one will use normal COH again. I'm sure people would love to try some mirror matches, from what I understand, it couldn't be that hard to code.

The second thing I think you should consider is approaching the best players and form a balance team for normal COH as well. If you guys regularly converse with the community, I think you guys could do something special here.

Obviously Relic are incompetent, what you guys have done is amazing.

If Relic had half a clue, they would have contacted you and promoted EF when they had that sale on Steam.

Anyway guys, ignore the idiots bagging you out, love your work. Look forward to the next patch.

No Relic = No CoH = No Mod. I think Relic deserves some credit (The fact that they have not balanced their own game is besides the point here) 

After reading a lot of the posts on the forum all over though, the EF crew probably does need some positive reinforcement.  I see a lot of hate and anger over the balance as if its not been addressed and as if its not already being worked on.

Despite the imbalances of this game im having a wonderful time playing with friends against and as the Soviets.  I honostly cant get enough of this mod, i might actually be sad when you fix the balance because its just pure fun when your overpowered (or conversley when your overwhelmed and trying to 'stem the tide' of russians - which might make a fun scenario)

Spot the constructive critisism and ignore the obvious flames.  The whole team has done, and IS doing a fantastic job and i wish you all the best. 

Relic are a great developer. After working on the mod I have alot more respect for what Relic are doing and how they have been handling the CoH balance.

Do you realise that they almost killed the entire COH brand by releasing TOV in the hopelessly broken state that it was in.

Do you realise that they haven't released a single balance patch for TOV yet?

They said they were working on a balance patch 10 months ago and we have heard nothing?

Obviously I'm not privy to the coding but that doesn't change the fact that what relic have done with COH is truly incompetent.

Already EF has recognized there are balance issues and have already announced a patch, if only Relic took note.

Anyway, how hard would it be for to allow mirror matches in EF? please reply, thanks

well - I see plenty of praise - and if not enough - let me add mine! sure - could always be better - but the patch showed that the Devs AR Listening! -
one curious thing though - who/what was their beta testers skill level?  ::) it was OBVIOUS that the Engineer spawn time was was too short - how was that missed in Beta testing ?? ?? ?? NOTHING could cap 3/4 of the map as fast as they could!

They have been a bit lazy, yes.  Cut them some slack though, they are a big company.  You do not know everything that goes on behind relic's doors.  They are also in development of an expansion to Dawn of War 2.

Again, they are a big company focusing on another game for the time being.  You can't expect them not to concentrate on another game that is bringing them more revenue at the moment.

The Eastern Front mod team, in contrast, are truly focused on the mod, and so all their work goes into it.  They are not paid to do anything.

Devs have already said that this would be a nightmare to balance, so no.  Just no.
