anti tank rifle

Anti Tank rifle men is too useless vs inf , it should sometimes (but rarely) hit infantry and gib them considering it was used for long range attacks on infantry too.  Im not saying all the time but sometimes if it could insta gib a gren or something it would add more to the unit and could be one of those little awesome moments that can change a game , if it was like the last gren in a shreck squad or something.

Just to add more incentive to men against tanks also because that is expensive.

nothing by the russians side should do anything more, moreover nothing can be cheaper... unless they gona be nerfed hard. If you think that the global upgrades are EXPENSIVE try to do some math at the axis side (2grens, double shreked, 4x75=300, well I would love to pay 200 and get them all upgraded).

Not to mention Grens are 300 manpower, Tank Hunters are 250.

The PTRD does sometimes Instagib, but we made it very uncommon, because otherwise why would people use the Sharpshooter?

I find this to be distressingly true... 150 mp t0 4 man squad with as far as I can tell the same firepower as a conscript squad (both have 4 rifles and I can't tell the difference between the conscript rifles and the ingy rifles), builds stupidly fast, and can for 200 muni get roughly the equivalent of global pio vet 2, pe increased squad size, and the US engy det pack. Then a 1 cp doctrine ability gives them pe tank hunter's double screck except for flamers instead of schrecks, which at this point in the game are usually more useful anyway.

On high statring resources you can get an instant double flamer with your first engie and dominate the first encounter.

BTW back on topic, the tank rifle is fine, if a bit specialized. Its not really meant to kill infantry and its pretty cheap (200?)

you gotta use tank hunters with other inf/units
i think thats the way to use russian inf - have several different units so that you can counter what ever comes at you to a certain degree.

perhaps a couple tank hunter squads with a guard squad and a flamer or something

I shot some infantry with a anti tank rifle (well my GF did to loup) I would not do that

Btw, these anti tank rifles shouldn't do so much dmg vs buildings. Spam of double PTRDs could destroy axis base even with bunkers & defensive doctrine. rifles, evan that huge, cannot denstroy buildongs.

agreed. Rifles should only do small damage to buildings, so that mabye a large blob of them can take out a bunker in good time.
