Partisans, are they OP?

I think partisans are a bit too OP imo. only 300 (i think) mp and infiltrate any building, automatic weapons without upgrade, demo charge and camoflague. I would suggest increasing cost and cooldown, but what do you guys think?

maybe let them have to upgrade to a better weapon like the falshrim infiltrators of PE.

They are more likely underpowered, conscripts are more devastating because of their molotovs.

The partisans seemed to pack quite a bit of punch when i regarrisoned them after using the support ability. They can clear the surrounding area effectively. And the molotov only comes after 200 muni upgrade. The partisans are 2 points on the command tree only.

Yeah, 3 points would be better, like commandos.

They do share a lot of commando abilities. And they are much cheaper. Albiet they do not pack the same anti-inf punch as commandos, they are better in urban areas due to their wide range of places they can be called in from. oh and they are only, i repeat, 300mp

I think it should be further down the tree - maybe traps first or smth

in general, more points to use. (and cost is low)

That puts them on around fallschirmjager levels. I think thats about right.

I think everything is allright with partisans, because they can't be veterans and they have not very big health.

Unlike Commandos, Partisans actually die very quickly when encountering MP44 troops. They are only really effective against crews and rifles.

I think they do way too much dmg against weapon crews.
I had about 3 MGs, didn't look after them for about 10 sec and suddenly all of them (+ one unvetted volxsquad covering them) were lost to a single partisans squad.
300MP? Seriously, they do better against crews than commandos.

Also, I really don't like those "they suck vs MP44" or I remember a DEV comment on IS2: "WH Marder will easily kill them".
The problem here is, that maybe there's a very effective counter for all USSR-stuff, however, it's unlikely to have them all in one single match. The soviets should be nerfed a bit, so also other units will have a change against them, in contrary, the axis shouldn't have a super-counter like said MP44s or Marder (not everybody has damned TOV!).

Why not simply increse the cost of Partisans on 400 mp, and there you have it. They would be just as effective as 2 conscript squads, and easily killed by any vehicle.

For a start, neither of those are from TOV. Also, MP44s are hardly a super-counter - they should be what you buy your infantry whether you are against Soviets or not. Just stop playing Wehr like you used to and develop new tactics.

After spending more time with the game, I still think they are a bit over powered.

With some micro they can take out assaut PGs and in green cover can kill fallshirmjagers (upgraded). And the cool down is so low that my enenmy resorted to destroying or occupying ALL the buildings on the map to stop this.

have you ever played rails and metals? have you ever call them in in the buildings behind your base? those that the bunkers don't cover? have you ever put a demo on the highest tier available building and blew it up? have you ever try to abuse shit to see what happened then?

or two bikes
typical anti commando units
are good against them (ostwind)
and try PE scorched earth
booby traps work against partisans too..
especially in buildings(they infiltrate and boom)

I put a demo charge on a bunker, when i blew it up it took a damaged Bergetiger and a grenadier squad with it.

I kinda like partisans...don't change them.

not when they can pop smoke instantly. so cheap. charge into the enimies base,, if playing against whre player whos not actually defensive Doc... pop smoker, demo e very base building and die for the glory of mother land, and you only lose as little as 300 man power?
which russians have million of man power left, to be replaced. by that time no base building for the germans, double flammer pio spam comes in .

so what I now have to have an ostwind a T4 unit to counter some 300mp bs? I wasn't talking about pe base as it's rather secure with flaks but the wehr base is well a playground for them ;] yeah they die quickly but if used properly they're doing a lot more dmg than they're worth... The idea of partisans is great they just need some amendments.

partisan effectiveness is based on where the garrisonable buildings are on the map. WHich is how it should be. Btw the urban warfare tree is useless in maps with few or badly placed garrisons

Pa rtisans demo charge is far to strong.

Should it destroy a bunker : YES

Should it destroy T1 or T2 wehrmacht buildings : YES

Should it destroy T3 or T4 wehrmacht buildings : NO

Should partisans could use their demos while cloaking : ABSOLUTELY NO

IF only any one listend to you guys while you where beta testing.. or was there a point of beta test !?lol

On some maps its easy to destroy a base building or two which in all practicality pays for the partisan used to blow them up. Being able to plant demo while camoflagued plays a big part in this.
BTW i might not suggest any changes to the partisans, though, because the urban warfare tree was already seriously nerfed.
