USSR manpower

OK before I played this mod, people can say "YOU NEVER PLAYED IT, STFU".  I've played it now and I think USSR is even more OP than even before I played it...and viola all the noobs here are screaming for balance now.  Is it just me or do they have higher manpower income than the Axis or something?  They keep sh1tting out tanks like they have constipation...it feels like I can never put a dent to their production...the balance issue is so clear that even a retard can see it...this is not even a question...the USSR is OP.  I really feel your beta testers should have done a lot better.

I didn't think they were OP.

I used them and won 2 out of 4 games with them. Their late game is terrible.

Listen kid, try actually using some STRATEGY. Soviets are not OP, certain Red Army units, however, are. Red Army upgrades are ALL munitions-based- 200 and up I believe. Capture munitions sectors quickly, use your MGs to take out infantry (you do realize they cannot retreat, yes?), and vet your tanks. Soviet tanks are slow, have bad aim, and cost on the higher range than most German tanks.

Our testers were Pro's, some very very good players, so it's understandable if you have some issues dealing with the Soviets. Its fairly obvious that the majority of people can't handle the Soviets very well despite only having the game for a day ;)

LMAO  But I think the Soviets are pretty balanced. Their late game IS terrible though... Unless you have a giant mass of infantry with grendades and a break suppression... otherwise great :)

I dont see how anyone is supposed to last until the late game with the insane amount of infantry early game. If you are agressive and try to cut them off, its impossible to protect all sides adequetly from the mass of conscripts. If you take a small amount of ground and hol, you get shelled out by the 4 minute off map arty, or the mortar/mini howitzer. MG's have to be permanantly baby-sat to stand a chance of survival past 5 minutes, and this doesnt give you the opportunity to play expansively and take the resources you need. The whole thing gets a lot worse in 2v2 or more, but i realise the purpose is to balance 1v1 first. The only possible suggestions i have so far are to increase the production times of the conscript and the engineers (how much i cant say as i have only played the mod for 6 hours), increasing the upkeep of the troops slightly, and finding some way of delaying the off map arty to around the 10 minute mark instead of 4 minutes in. Looks like it could be really fun so far, once a couple of balance patches have been released of course

Me and the rest of my vent it is a Men of War based vent have been playing this all day trying to work out how to beat the Soviets we have found a few ways but it takes an inferior opponent. Either or i think to balance Russian manpower make them bleed up keep like the Americans and they have to construct some sort of supply depot that would help with man power and has 2 tiers to elevate the man power drain. This could also help balance the extremely quick Russian T3 with T90's in 5 mins and t34's in 6. Also move the commander to t2 or t3 and increase the cost or make him have to gain vet for those abilities otherwise they just run through mg's and artillery the rest for almost free.

I  am a rank 14 axist player and rank 14us player rank 10 1v1ranks. Right now russians on .2v2 almost invincible. Conscrips charged and too all houses on map :do making mg inefective. Build defensive mg bunkers or mg place again blob russians get pounders by fast and free arty commander squards. Then all by the time h have t2 they have capturedost of the groud and spent no fuel wat so ever. And german gave no fuel for tanks. Let along infantry upgarade aswell. 2 pak by this time they have howie motars snd t35z then [tt]pundeded[/tt] By free cammabder arty again. 

I think upkeep is the key...even riflespam and AB spam has its limits kept in check with upkeep.  If they spam AB too hard for example, they wont have the manpower for tanks...but the USSR?  Spam infantry, np, they will still have enough to spam tanks too.  And dont forget those USSR tanks are superior to their German counterparts...the ISU 2 hit p4 bs proves my point.  I have never seen any tank (with splash damage too) 2 hit another tank until this...even the KT pales in comparison.

I couldnt agree more with chancellor. People say the tanks are supposed to be inaccurate, but the is-2 killed at least one of my squads members every time it fired. I was PE at the time and i started to get really ticked off. Then i watched my allies king tiger die due to a is-2 and t-34.

I had 80mm out but they barley held back the tide of tanks and we couldnt advance due to the super inf targeting they have

You cant compare the IS-2 to the Pz4. Thats like saying the stuart sucks because it cant kill the Pz4. The IS-2 is on par with the Panther, which can beat an IS-2 1v1 with just Vet 1, which is very cheap. Throw in a shreck squad and some engies for repairs and viola, tank superiority is yours

Voop I want to challenge you to a 1v1 sometime with me as the USSR.  You'll see what I mean    :D

of couse the russians are OP ... but thats ONLY because its a new faction ... like all new factions you have no idea or any tatic to counter it ...

Frist off ... i remember when the brits come in as a new faction .. i dont remember me beating them and there sim city tatic for some time ... thats because we were all using the old tactics for defeating them ...

just like we are all know .. maybe the russians need to be a little bit nerfed ..  just because you are using your old tactics that you used to beat the usa or brits with is not working. means that you have to come up with a NEW tacitc to beat them because the russians are a new faction and are different to any other faction in the game .... just be a smart person and find out how to win ... i have seen the germans win alot of times. as said in maybe other topics the russians cost alot of manpower to upgrade

also the germans in the furture a new faction too. just enjoy the game for what it is .. and EF testers have done a good job so far

"Yeah, jamo is right, some red army units need their costs changed, especially all the cheap artillery." Could it be that u don´t notice that the german artillery is much better against the russians with none retread? I thinkt the russian artillery is that cheap to balance that.
