phpBB instead of simple machines ?

I've been using this forum for quite some time now and frankly find it quite awkward to use. I understand you guys made a choice to use simple machines but I think phpBB would be a much much better choice. Not sure if the database could be transferred or if it is compatible with phpBB.

Is switching to phpBB even being or will be considered?

PS: Also, whatever happened to the Russian forum section? I kind of miss it :)

They were full of useful information.

The admins decided that it caused too much segregation. They would prefer everyone join in discussions together.

Well after all many users can not know English... Even if they will have good ideas, because of this problem they cannot lay out them!
I think, all will be for that that sections in other languages have returned.

If you use Internet Explorer 8, just select the text and mouse over 'translate' and you get it auto-translated without even having to change window.

I get error going to most of the forums with IE. I literally can't go into forums with IE7 just get this nasty error. See attachment below.

PS: Any word on switching to phpBB?
