Company of Heroes: Eastern Front gone gold!

All Development is now completed for our first release of Company of Heroes: Eastern Front. All that is left now is integrating our already proven and tested launcher, packing the release version into an installer and uploading it. Everything is going according to plan, and nothing is in the way of releasing on the 21st of January.

To get you guys a little more excited, here are some of are new unit cards - they use actual ingame models:






Some relevant information about our 1.0 release: It can be run with either CoH, OF, ToV, any combination or all of them. It can be used with the steam based installation. We will release EF 1.0 with an auto-installer and a game-launcher, which will also automatically check for updates.

Three years of development. Now it's only three more days! See you on the 21st!

I've dreamt about it twice in the past couple of days... man. I'm so pumped for this.

Company of Heroes is by far the best RTS game Ive played, Probably the best WW2 game I've ever played. Now with the Russians coming in its gonna get even better. Thank you Eastern Front team for making this possible.

One more thing since you guys are putting in new factions, sorry if this sounds stupid, but have you guys ever thought of adding the Japanese in for the Axis? An additional front?

I think since it's titled "Eastern Front", It's going to be Russians and Ostheer only.

Tbh back then years ago when it first started... I was very sceptical and said "well, lets see" and I am darn glad that my scepticism was proven wrong. So many mods have been started, so many mods have died after a while... Glad EF isnt one of them.

Aye. Have been reading on this since it began :) Interesting,

Yeah, we pity those noobs. Japanese is Pacific Thunders territory, we'd rather focus on this than step on people toes. Besides, we still have plenty to do, this ain't finished yet, not by a long shot... this is like, the the Beta of the Alpha of the mod we want it to be.

Awesome guys! Very well done! Well some of you other talks about a Japan mod, but something cool would be to add Finlands front! They Finnish people ( and Swedish/Norweigan volounters) gave them a hell with only 30 tanks and 180 airplanes.

I wish people would read around before posting. Finns at best will be a call in unit for the Ostheer. This really needs to be in the FAQ  :P

I am a problem about the  Eastern Front , IF I UPDATED to Eastern Front, can I play online with other people who don't have Eastern Front ???

As with all mods, no. You can only play with people who
have the same mod as you :) (EF). But you can play with
any core version of the game (basic, EF, gold, TOF,
Anthologies).

@A21000 - People would read through the post even if it is of regular font and not in bold -Looks a bit intimidating .

And maybe it is a little bit confusing, but you can play EF and besides this, the 'unmodded' version of COH [equally as ever].
