Can those without the mod play vanilla games with those who do have it?

Hi guys if anyone knew for certain the answer to both of these questions, that’d be great

If I load up this mod, can I still join the vanilla games being hosted in the lobby of people who do not have the mod?

And if I have the mod and decide to host a vanilla game (with just PE/Wehr & US/Brits) can people without the mod, still join my game?

If you load up Eastern Front, you can only play online with others who have Eastern Front. If you want to play Vanilla with Vanilla players, just click on the Company of Heroes icon on the desktop instead of Eastern Front.

yeah but I do rember when some devs said "yes you can" and I was like wtf?

They probably said that you can still play vanilla CoH if Eastern Front is installed.
