What if Relic expanded Company of Heroes to Xbox 360/PS3?

(I already know they won't. They said so...)

Thoughts?

Stretegy games on a consol ? FAIL... i share the same opinion with FPS on console ... its just retarded, belongs to PC imo

no, no, no of course not.

I dont have any consoles, apart from a PS1, and a DS, if that counts. Dont have enough money for a new console and the assorted games.

They are however much better for multiplayer, I mean real multiplayer, with actual friends, the social aspect of them is much more fun than the lone PC gamer.

PC's have mods though, which is why I'd choose it over a console any day.

So if 360 and PS3 even could have CoH, they couldn't have Eastern Front  :P

a pc that pulls mw2 properly u pay like 720 euros (i did) and what does a xbox whit mw2 cost €199 and a ps3 €350( whitout mw2)

Aye but I got my laptop as an 18th birthday present, over two years ago now, it cost around £800.

Its pretty good and can play CoD:WaW at a most things maxed and native resolution. Im not fussed about everything looking so sharp I could cut my retinas on it, so I'm happy.

Just saying theres alot of good things about consoles, despite the obvious drawbacks of no RTS. I'd much rather play a platformer or racer or action game with a pad.

Meh, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Interesting topic this has turned into.

First, to Toxic, no. You will not see CoH on console, nor should it be, and ditto to huggy...RTS games on console are teh suck.

But as for PC gaming overall, I'm a little concerned. After checking out a few local EB Games (Gamestop in U.S.?), where PC games used to take up one entire wall in their stores, they're now relegated to a small shelf/discount bin. I spoke to an employee who told me they're simply not carrying many PC games anymore because the market is rapidly shrinking in favour of consoles.

This is a terrible thing. Sure we have big releases like Starcraft 2, or Diablo 3, or Star Trek Online etc. coming out but for the most part it looks like PC games are going the way of the dodo bird (or at least gonna get put on the seriously endangered list).

Thoughts?

users ox xbox and ps3 are atracted by live services and "intranet" things, fair play / no cheat and that kind of stuff.... mwf2  for example, in pc will be cheated un lees than a week, in xbox is hard to see that

- Less cheats. Less mods. Less Piracy.
But, ESPECIALLY, 1 set of system specs, whereas with PCs,
there is a whole shabang of system specs to deal with. Ouch!

Personally, I luv my PC to death. I think console games are
oversimplified and turn into quarters arcade games with few
buttons and reflex happy. I'm more into strategy/simulation,
so...

I love COD5/WaW and hope for Starcraft2 soo bad.
Anyhow, what happens ... happens :p
