Release date ?

Its 19th December, just wondering if the mod is going to be released before Christmas, like you said it would. Its getting a bit tiresome, don't you have a schedule or deadline ? (No offense intended) 

 

Way back in '07 Blizzard announced Starcraft 2 and slated it for an '08 release.

I think you can wait an extra week or two.

Man, I sure do hope... This mod will be beast... Almost (probably just as) as beast as this game was when I first bought it!  ;D

BigBear I don't think you can ask "when is release" followed by "its getting tiresome...don't you have a deadline" and then throw in a "no offense".

I'll echo Crezth that greatness takes time.

And don't forget...all the devs are spending their own time, for free, building a public mod that all of us will get hundreds of hours of enjoyment out of. I think the least we can all do is be understanding, supportive, and anxiously optimistic about the project.

Nope, he's not. He'd be a hypocrite if he then proceeded to grill the devs, but he didn't. He expressed hope for a Christmas release is all.

You see, he wasn't criticizing BigBear's hoping for a Christmas release - we all want that - he was criticizing BigBear's attitude which he perceived as a little entitled.

If we had a deadline the mod would be dead by now :D. No, really, we're just going to get it finished before we're releasing it.

Yeesh I didn't think my little post would cause so much controversy. My "fingers crossed" was intended as a joke at the whole situation.

'Tis true, I would love for the mod to come out ASAP but of course I understand the challenges the devs face and I will stand by, steadfast, until the eventual release when we will relish in the destruction of the Nazis under T-34 treads, whether it be 4 short days from now, Dec. 25th, 2010 or anywhere in between.

And thank you Crezth...I think we're all guilty of wanting the mod release soon (as evidenced by topics, replies, sigs, and flames for updates or info of any kind), I simply think it is unjustified for anybody to stroll onto the forums and harass the devs for not having released it yet.

Agreeable. And the devs DO have lives ya know. Christmas parties, (maybe) people over... I mean, really.
