Hmm. Strange question. Will there be a CD coming out?

Guy on COH/RELIC in-game chat said a CD for sale was
coming out for soviet EF mod... I was, like... WTF?.

Understand it's a spin-off mod, and thus can't be sold for
profit. But apparently some people are eager and willing to
pay for it. Idea's not so bad, for people who want a hardcopy,  although I figured, instead, download, slap
on a blank DVD, and make a donation to the DEVs, no?

Anyhow, what's this about a hardcopy DVD you guys are
selling out?

I think somebody (a Dev, probably Will) said they'd be willing to ship CD's/DVD's at a price. I can't find the post anywhere though so don't go treating it as hard-fact just yet :P

That would be a very good idea to make a cd copy available.

A man by the name of "William" tolled me that there MAY be a CD release after it is released

I'm okay with making DVD copies available for people in my
area, if they make a request of it. Damn things don't cost
much. Although, got awesome flash drive, too :)

I'd be happy helping in any way that I can getting this
spread and around.

a patch through relic would be the best way to "spread it around"

Agree to the spreading it around. And ford or devs, is that a possibility of an official Relic patch with the mod?

Ideally I'd like to see everyone playing EF. Finally an allied faction to stand up to the OP Germans!

don't forget the "Ostheer" I don't think the Germans are "over powered"
but yeah i would love a patch (mod that never dies  :D)

OP germans :) A lot of wehr players feel it is the allies
who are OP, yknow :) // As for the Ostheer, same thing as
Soviets, really. They fit nicely into the other, as LONG as
they're filled with 'other races'. Otherwise, er, what's the
whole point of ANOTHER german faction, again?

There will never be a Relic Patch including any mod (just my guess) and I don't think that we're allowed to sell CDs anyways -- but nothing stops you from producing thousands of DVDs and giving them away. I guess that it would be no problem if one sold them for like 0.25$, just as if you bought a DVD.

Yeah, thats what I meant... the price would cover the DVD and shipping costs, but the mod would still essentially be free. Theres nothing wrong with that I don't think...

- Yea, DVD/shipping costs are ok. Selling the mod itself is
not.
- Relic would NEVER indulge in mod? Er, never yet doesn't mean
never in future. If it's well done, why the heck not? Maybe
lock it out of automatch, etc, but for squirmishes etc, why
not? Even classic match. Trick is to make it quality AND meshing well with current workings (ie: Vanilla).
- I'll be HAPPY to pimp out CDs of it to friends and other local
people. Spread the word, as it may. Already to it aplenty in
in-game chat rooms :) Twice a day, minimum :)
- Bastex : 150 british pounds for your EF beta, uh? ;)
Yea, Apex would get on your ass so fast... don't chance it
man. Besides, be honest with yourself... is it worth the 150
to you? Knowing you could no longer play Soviet tanks?

Eh, pity is, a lot of my friends would LOVE to pay for it
if it's well done. To get the box cover art and CD.
