Can't run game?

I have hard copies ofCoH, ToV and OF. I downloaded the .exe file and  it opened a launcher. However, it couldn't originally find the CoH directory so I had to go to settings and input that myself. That said, it still won't start up. All it'll do is turn my cursor into a blue wheel for a second or so like it IS loading--then nothing happens and it returns to normal. The mod says it is up to date.

Directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes

We don't offer support for the retail version of the game anymore. If you like to play on the old hardcopy version you need to apply this compability patch:

Try activating your hard copy cd keys on Steam and then download "Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)". After that install EF into that directory. Then you won't need to go through all the hassle.
