Partisans

apart from booby trapping points what are partisans good for? what abilities can they use?

They enter the map via infiltration. They can move while camouflaged. They are decent in several types of infantry combat. They can be equipped with demolition charges.

wasn´t it once mentioned that the "street-warfare" doktrine (or how is it called?) is already good enough so partisans wouldn´t infiltrate? and why can they move while they are camouflaged? just snipers can do so- i think this would be a little bit imba

Stormtroopers can move while camouflaged

And they have the benefit of AT capabilities (Stormtrooper, not partisans)

Well, they're not professionnals.
Actually, that's semi not true. They did have a military
core (the bypassed initial soviet army during the beginning
of the first german vs soviet assault (barbarossa?)

But a lot of them were disgruntled peasants/bandits
who preyed on germans behind the lines. They shouldn't
be equal to main line troops/uber british commandos is
what he's saying. And I agree.

What they gain in stealth, they ought to lose in fighting
ability. But, ought to be able to ambush something nastily.
(Like german pak, sorta).

I feel they ought to be perma-invisible to radar, though
(I mean minimap, not sight). 'They're 'beneath the radar')

To give 'em a better chance at sabotage.
Otherwise, they'll be tracked down and murdered as soon
as they sabotage anything.

- Commandaoes : Typo. When too much typed, the editor
gets rabies. So, sometimes a few words get 'the treatment'
;) As long as major intent passes, I'm good with it.

- As for what's wrong with commandaoes, besides spelling,
they're powerful. And no way random untrained civilians
with guns should be more powerful than british
commandaoes, get what I mean?

For those who play WOW... imagine a combat rogue with
no stealth running up to a PROT warrior... (same level/
gear)... and winning...  does that sound right to you?

About as right as a mage beating a warrior in a sword fight.

Partisans really should rely on their camouflage ability rather than being a commando-like unit with rambo-attitudes.

Commando : Green Beret Rambo-types. Similar to
sleek, elegant tiger (the animal, not the tank)
Partisans : Bunch of misfits/disgruntled civilians with
some 1st wave (Barbarossa) left-behind soldiers who
haven't had much support from home in 1-2 years.
Similar to rats. (The animal, not the heavy Maus)
Can't win in a face-to-face engagement (ambush is
fine) against a single enemy squad. Equivalent to
an engineer, in unstealth characteristics, perhaps.
Their call to fame is being in the wrong place, at
the wrong time. The stupid pebble that catches
under your foot at mystically the wrong moment
to throw your entire game off ;)

Not showing on the minimap should be an ability
of theirs. And perhaps sprinting under stealth, eh.
Don't worry, if they get into a fight, you'll see
them on the minimap allright.

But I am COMPLETELY okay with Partisans being
invisible on radar (even while they put their charges on
the flags/bridges). If they start FIRING on something, or
CAPTURING, then, oh, minimap will be happy to speak out :)

Stormtroopers are called Of map, not infiltration, They can move while camouflaged

Fallschirmjaeger can be called off map or Infiltration, they can hide when are Still and in cover.

Partisans enter the map via infiltration (I imagine off map too). They can move while camouflaged...

That's a bit Unfair, imagine your team is Allied Infantry or worse, British Royal Artillery... Infiltrate a squad near enemy base and hide, use camouflaged and go to enemy base, and the Artillery Rape Will Talk for his own, Imagine Overwatch artillery Blasting Axis Infantry... and Base...

I dont see this as a problem, since Americans have snipers that can move while camouflaged and we don't have this problem. 

Snipers can get enemy base too, but they have to walk the entire map, and that will take some time (creation,walking, avoiding enemy, etc).

But if Partisan infiltrates in a Near House to enemy base, can do it easily and faster in no time.

True, but im pretty sure the Overwatch has a range, and you should be fine on 2v2 or bigger, especially with how big the maps in this mod are seeming to be

  Stormtruppen : Made to fight, not sabotage. Cost 8!!!! Pop. It's a stalemate breaker.

Fallsschirmjaeger : Made for deep  penetration and getting
rid of pesky arty/mortar, Eating wrong  Strategic point, etc.
Their stealth sucks balls, though. (doesn't work  right for me)

Partisans : ... Are behind the front line civilians/bandits with
a bone to chew. Their malus is that they suck in combat. (For every plus, there must be a minus).

- Overwatch/Partisans unfair?
- What's difference with? Fallshirmjaeger/PE AT Plane strike
or Sniper/Scout stealth PE Bike?

But, yea, interactions are dangerous. I recall how they really nerfed the British uber OP trucks (enhanced) From 3 to 1. (And don't think it shared with allies).

faster than other similar units (xcept Fallsj) but where the
sniper kicks ass, the partisans are somewhat helpless/close range.

- Perhaps give them reduced sight? Depends if they're given binoculars or not

Voop Bakon : Big maps? I like that. In-taste with soviet, EF. But that is not what I heard, though. Can someone confirm that EF maps will be somewhat oversized? (Big sectors, fewer flags) 3x3 being made to 2x2, etc, like.

Partisan or not...

Sniper Ace Will do his job... he is called by Infiltration too, move while camouflage and i think he move fast, plus he has a bigger line of Sight... so...

God of War Artillery + Howitzer shot/Air Bomber will be Fun.

Not for Axis Army i think..

Have to keep in mind this, you need 2 Russian for a nice Combo.

Propaganda Strategy -> Artillery Warfare ; Trench Systems ; Stalin Organ ; God of War

Urban Combat Strategy  -> Guerrilla Warfare ; Partisans; Sabotage ; Sniper Ace

GoW + Good Spotter (Partisan, Sniper Ace) = Blast Enemy Base

in 2v2, that would be a nice couple.

Well current wehr/PE luft already do a nice job with V1/280mm
Arty strike, etc. The goal of the last talents is to be slightly
game breaking, so as to force a break to any stalemates,
kinda.

As soon as I saw Gods of War, I thought ... uhhhh...
But, eh. We'll just have to see what happens :)

Thanks for the headsup, I didn't know the Sniper Ace
was ALSO an infiltration unit. Ouch, this is going to be
so evil :)

It looks like the Partisans will be a well designt unit. They can not kill tanks like the Stormtroopers and they don't have super Anti-infantry guns like the Fallschirmjager. What they are is an infiltrate unit that can lay traps for the enemy. Cool.  8)

And year you could combine them with God of War in 2 vs 2, but in 2 vs 2 their already is a ridiculously numbers of weird strats. I once sneacked a sniper in to my opponets base and we hit him with 2 V1 missiles. Just to show that this strat is not uncommen nor realy OP because it is only possible in a very campy game.

Surely, mixing overpowered abilities is the whole fun of team games?

2x V1 in enemy's base? Er... ouch? :)
I like the 280mm defensive missile barrage, myself.
Smaller cooldown, although, yea, end up using more
munitions that way :)
