Teching

First of all I will have to say that the mods look great and Iam very excited about it. But I do have one concern, the tiers. If you go tier one, you will only have a single uni you can spam and if you go tier two you can only have two, (I assume you don't have the fuel for tier 3 in the begining.) when you build the next building you will get a little more, but than when you finally get tier 3, 15 diffrent units will be available. So it seems that you have few options early one, and a even worse a very predictable teching tree.

With all the factions but the British, you will constantly have to try and figure out what you opponent will build and how to counter this, which is a very important part of the high level CoH.

To me it would seem like a good idea if you would have to unluck the new tier 1,2 and 3 units in the buildings. That way you would have to choose between better infantry or a mortar which will open up for tons of strategic decisions.

It might not seem like a big deal to you, but when the mod come out people will want to be able to use diffrent build orders and adapt to what their opponent does. If they can't many people will go back to the other factions with would be a shame, because you have put so much work into this.

Beside this everything looks great and I wish you guys the best of luck.

Soviet starting strategies can be more diverse than you think. The HQ already provides two units, the Command Squad and Ingenery. Usually you will build a mustering tent, giving you conscripts in addition. You can put different production emphasises on these units according to map, doctrine choice and enemy. You can also skip the tent, go ingenery heavy and go straight for a support barracks.

For mid and late game, there are a lot of units available. Also our armoury system directs you to invest into certain unit types, again depending on your choice. You want to go conscript heavy? Get the NKVD upgrade package for extra rifles and a commissar. You like ingenery? Upgrade the to Sturmovies for body armour and ppshs. Or are you more of a tank player? Get the T-34/85 upgrade.

Combining these with the very differently playing doctrines, there are a lot of ways playing the soviet union.

can you only get one. Cause I like like to use volks spams and almost destroy the enemy and right when he thinks im done i send in some grenadiers or storm troopers "shock n Ah" ;D then I just go straight threw their front  ;D

I have not played the Beta, so it is hard to me to know exactly how many strats their are available. But if we do not include diffrent doctries and you can't build the Tank Hall as your first building their are 4 different and after the first building has be build only 2. Which leave very little room for adaptation, you can offcause get the NKVD or build your units i a diffrent order, but the British faction can build their unit in diffrent orders and go for diffrent doctries as well, and they lack variation. What I'm getting at is that you do have some diffrent options as Soviet, and in a beta where everything is new it might seem like a lot, but with a relativlly quick fix their  could be so many diffrent combinations of build orders, and if you want people to play the mod a year after release and still find new strats you will need to do this.
I do not criticize what you have done so far as I find it to be great, I am simply suggesting an easy way to make it more complex. I am aware that this is a little late to suggest something that game change and I am only doing so because I belive that this will make the game a lot better and I want this mod to be received well be the community in its early days.

Can I build three mustering halls, and thus again
immediate access to Guards?. What if I make 2-3
mustering halls. Can I then make a zillion conscripts
while playing with 'superior initial ressources?'.

Ingineers, T34/76 do NOT upgrade when buffed?
(Sturmovie)...

Oh. Well, what about conscripts / PTRD squads?
Sharpshooter teams, even.

does my 100+ army of (insert spam unit) upgrade,
or does the mentality of no upgrade for already-built
units still hold true?

: Why would I build T34/76 if I can make SU85 (who has
no vision impairment)(All soviet tanks should have
impared vision, IMHO. Forcing them to use omnivision
via troops accompaniement) :) As soon as I can make
T34/76, I can make SU85, right?

Don't have the BETA to run some tests, but I can put
my thoughts on the matter more clearly if you like.

vs Wehr effort needed to get to Panzer Hall
British, etc. and Wehr. Compare this to soviet effort.

Well, soviets start late to compensate, I suppose.
(0 starting unit) so that is a factor I guess.

It IS something which is seriously being considered. I
think it's an interesting idea. Would give flexibility to an
otherwise ah... utterly straightforward build, although,
yes, at the cost of self-crippling, somewhat.

Wartyx : Germans have officer for faster traininig,
americans have +10? infantry/vehicular build. Soviets
seem somewhat built on the american idea. Multiples of
same building would help, here, for when a person is
serious about specializing.

A thought just occured to me. How about making the
tech building (Soviet upgrades building) mandatory
after the first building, perhaps?

  Would throw a little rock in the path of teching, to
prevent someone fast-teching to the top rapidly,
and thus bypassing many 'now obsolete' units.

Awesome let me kwon if you and the beta team decide anything.

I like the idea. Extra flexibility is forever good.
Still think soviets should build the upgrade building if
they want to make a 2nd, or 3rd main building.
