how to install EF Ostheer

I wont to install Ostheer but i dont know how.
please help me I am very excited to try it  ;D ;D ;D

You just need to download the latest full installer from here.

For more instructions look the Eastern Front Download and Installation Guide stickied in this very section.

Just remember to use the company of heroes relaunched folder instead of the regular one.

iam trying to download the 2.7 patch but i am not finding it. is there any other way to download it :-[ :-[ :-[

You won't find the 2.7 patch because that's only available to steam. If you have the version 2.602, you can play EF as long as you download and install the compatibility patch for that version(which you can find on the site I linked the full installer in my comment above).

Isn't this a bit pointless when the steam version is now incompatible for EF?

Yes, it is. Although some people want to play the retail version (and not all of them play a pirate version).

I have followed the procedure above and added all the upgrades via the launcher but EF fails to launch. The installation locations appear fine and the steam login is successful, the feedback I get is small steam dialog informing me its about to launch but then nothing.

Previously I've successfully played it when using COH cd's, but I've removed all these installations and paid for the steam version, My platfrom is win7 64 bit, any ideas?

All the steam COH version function fine?

Are you sure you installed the new steam version of CoH and then the EF mod in the same path?

My old COH cd's are knackered so I removed all my old installations. I've uninstalled Eastern Front and resinstalled with the same results. I'm still vulnerable to stupidity like everyone else but I do have 30 years IT experience behind me.

In my steam library  I have 4 COH entries one marked new release, the two expansions plus an extra one thats says just plain COH. I removed this but it returned when I restarted steam.

Is there somewhere I can pick up a debug output?

Check this if you want to track down the problem by yourself. Remember you need to install EF in the Company of Heroes Relaunch folder and not in any other selfmade folder.  You will notice when the files are where required if you see RelicCoH.exe, FactionFix.dll, Eastern_Front.module, Eastern_Front folder and the other files related to the mod in the same folder.

Thanks for your help I now have EF working.

The problem was with the initial large exe ([IP address redacted]) which once the "COH Relaunch" dir was selected appended "Company of Heroes" to the "Company of Heroes Relaunch" path.
