New Update -> CRASH

So today there was a minor update to the game that didn't seem to do much. Now when I play EF the game randomly crashes.

So im guessing there is going to be an update soon?

Same here, I got a crash as well as the friend playing with me when I was trying to re-crew a Wehr Pak with my Landsers. Is the so called "Strawman bug" kicking in once more? Additional notes: Me and my friend were playing 2vs2 compstomping against Soviet and British, since these factions' AIs don't re-crew, this supports my guessings. Anyways I should try again with some more play and check if that happens again.

Its not a random crash.
It crashes when you try to recrew AT,MG or mortar.

I didn't recrew anything and it crashed. It is to do with the new patch. It has been fixed internally, hopefully should be a new version of the mod released soon to fix it.

Yes, it is because of the new patch -- but still the main problem was recrewing team weapons. The problem is that the game does not know what squads to spawn when recrewing team weapons with one of the new factions. We patch some of the original code to circumvent the problem, but when an update for CoH is released, the code we have to patch (or rather: the location of the code) changes. This is what is causing the crashes.

I cannot give you an ETA because I am not involved in that process. If you are feeling adventurous, you can try updating it yourself:
Go here and download the file from the first link in the first post. Unpack the file and move the FactionFix.dll to your CoH directory (overriding any previous versions of that DLL). The crashes should be fixed then.
