Absolutely amazing mod but...

Ok so first of all i think it's amazing mod :). Amazing soldiers models, great tree ideas, factions, maps balance etc. Only thing that let for example my friends see that this is mods are tanks models. Especially the soviet tanks. They are ugly  :(. I know it's hard to make new tanks model, but they look very bad. Same thing to Ostheer tanks ( why for example Tiger it is looking worse than  his official game model) and new tanks for other factions (for example Comet,  but still better that soviet tanks). I think putting better models of soviet tanks is more important than any other changes because it could  destroy good visual impresion about mod. I played coh 2, i know it has improved engine, but this game has amazing model of tanks. Can you models similar to them ? By the way, thank Eastern Front Team for amazing mod! Well. Interesting point. We should ask Relic why their Tiger models looks different in other factions ;)
Please keep in mind that a lot of the models are very old and dating back into the days when the EF team was able to animate the first vehicles ever. E.g. the T-34 is a modelmix of the British Cromwell tank and the EF T-34 model. But i think u havent read the last EF news updates because Bish informed u that EF have already started in reworking and improving ingame models. Our talented 3d artists and animators will need more time to rework all the stuff of the old days. EF will improve the models patch by patch. Take a look at the new Su-85 and Su-100. So please be patient.
And a small note; There are great CoH 2 models but still a number of ugly CoH 2 models. Take the Ostheer CoH 2 Panzerwerfer. U will have a lot of fun with this model ;)

Hello there! I'm not a dev but I'd like to throw in my humble opinion. I think the current tank models are modelled fine (especially considering we'll get some new vehicle models in the upcoming update). Tanks textures and models were one of the things I personally disliked about CoH2: they look too much like toy cars, too smooth-edged and clean (just look at the T-34, it looks like it's a tank-shaped hot air baloon). I'm also glad that EF team decided not to add player-coloured elements on vehicles (I do believe that blue/red glowing lines on tanks look silly). While the models and textures we have now do have flaws (mammoth SU-76, I'm looking at you), I think the general rusty and rugged look of the tanks is fine.
UPD: Whoops, looks like I'm a bit slow. Hehe.

I mean that for example wehrmacht tiger looks much better than ostheer tiger, which sems a bit strange for me, cause it will be enough to retexture models. Amazing mods but for me tank models still in minus ( but I apreciae not coloring elements). If models wil be updated im glad to hear it! By the way, overall job is great EF Team!

EF team have definatly been doing a very high quality job, my only real quarry is whether or not the vanilla factions are going to be re-modeled and retextured to bring them up to the visual standard of the EF faction's, because at this time, it's really hard to play a Vcoh faction when you compare it to the complete outclassing done by EFmod team and personally i struggle to use Ostheer atm and prefer to use the PE :o

I admire mod but that is not true. If we speak about visual about 85% infantry units look as good as vanilla/opposing front units. 15% troops have less details than those from vanilla. If we speak about tanks, they are looking bad. They dont have many convex details. It's easy too see especialy on maps with big lighting, then Coh/Oposing Front tanks looks absolutely amazing while Soviets and Ostheer tanks look between bad-middle. I know people love mod but biggest love is showing good and bad side of mod as it is, cause that's the only way to improve it. In my opinion thing, that is better if we speak about visual is Soviets Artillery strike( this from doctrine, which make big area explode). Also some artillery tanks from doctrine with artilerry-type shoting have amazing efect when bullet hit a ground. Engineers should be reskin a bit so it will look better (their uniform is too light). By the way, i think overall mod is much more better than COH 2 which destroy my vision of soviet army (but tanks still good a much better). Worst thing they did is they broke my imagination of soviet army known from movies ( Stalingrad, Stlaingrad 2013, Enemy at Gate) and games like COD) in which core of infantry are concripts with specific hat. It is made amazing in EF in which indeed they are core of the army in early-mid game, cheap meat but still dangerous in great numbers. In Coh 2 they put them as Penal Batalions and made very strong which completely destroy my imagination. Sory for changing topic, i just want to say im not anty-fan, I appreciate many things, but unfortunately i must admit also bad sides of mod which visual of tanks definetely is.

I knwo we shouldn't look in teeth of horse which we received for free, but if giver wants suggestions and opinionsabout it and make forum, then we should do it objectively.

Well they have been saying alot throughout the announcements that they are currently working on remodeling and retextureing pretty much everything in their faction's, my question is whether this includes the vanilla factions which clearly need it even more, i mean Gren's are bright blue. they should be wearing a more greyed out camo rather than looking as bright as the UN's helmet's

Also haveing random skins for infantry and vehicles would be really nice, i have seen this is quite a few mod's where if you spawn a squad they have a few different skins for different members of the squad which randomise, or if you spawn 2 sherman's or panzer 4's for example there is a good chance the two will have a different skin

I'm not sure, but I think the EF already uses such a system or something similar to it. Ostheer's Landser squad sometimes has all it's members wearing helmets, and sometimes one or two models wear M43 caps; also, one of the Landsers (squad leader?) always wears a drastically different camouflaged uniform. Still, it would be nice to see something like this for other squads, including vehicles and Soviets, if that's possible at all.

And for the Soviet units, as said by our comrades in this topic, all the models will be replaced eventually. For Ostheer tanks, we just need to make some tweaks on most of them, but they do not affect their appearance and that only applies with our stuff and not Relic's. Also, I don't know how the Tiger looks worse than the official model, because it is the same model without some stuff on the turret... it looks fine to me unless you can explain it further, unless you mean it looks "worse" because of these missing meshes, then there is nothing to discuss because the OH Tiger is fine and doesn't have them in real life.

Well.. perhaps he is playing in low details because out of my view a number of EF models are better than the CoH models like our StuG or Panzer III model.
But okay. It is his opinion ;) I love most of the stuff our artist created for us.

Well this is just wonderful news! Perhap's a little input here could be commando's haveing their helmet's except for the squad leader who could have a barret, kinda like the Skrelky? :DD

Nope. I play on highest settings. Ostheer tiger model definetely lack of dynamic lights which wermacht tiger has ( when for example map is during day and sun is lighting).

Most of Soviets models are very good, i will leave it as it is, maybe only change soviets engineers, more camo uniform and hat like consripts (similar to those in Coh 2). And if you replace those soviet tanks models as you said i will be luckiest man ever!

Well, what I can offer is to make the Soviet engineers, Strelky and Guards have random headgear. That would be good I suppose.
