Error opening file for writing before launcher even installed

Make sure your installer can write on the folder(in other words, that you have writing rights). The best solution is to go to properties of the EF folder and override the folder owner so it becomes yours. Then continue with the install process.

I've given myself full control of the entire Relaunch folder, including all those within it. It's still giving me the error. What will ignoring it do?

It won't replace the file I guess, and you won't be able to play with other players online. Perhaps I can take a look at it if you are willing to try a session with team viewer.

I'll have to download that, but sure. I've tried installing the mod three times already.

You should add me on Steam, I'm Blackbishop. If there are more than one, make sure you add the one being part of the EF mod in Steam.

Well, this is awkward. I was able to get it installed and running after reinstalling the games. It seems the past attempts left files scattered around.
